I don't think its any of the employees fault that this bank is no longer any good. When it was Founders, money disappeared from my account. When it switched to The Private Bank, it was fantastic, never missing money again, transactions were accurate and appeared fast on on-line banking app. Now as CIBC, its the worst of all. On-line banking that never updates or stays current especially on weekends. Transactions or payments often take 3 to 4 business days to reflect in on-line banking. A $500.00 cash deposit made inside the branch is pending after 3 days. Made on Saturday 10/26/19 around 1pm in the afternoon, still pending and unavailable as of 6:30pm on Monday. I went inside this branch and the nice personal banker agreed with me but was unable to offer any reason for this delay in posting a cash deposit. Direct deposits from my employer aren't there till 8 to 10hrs after other co-workers direct deposits are credited using other banks. Also, good luck using their ATM's on weekends and holidays. They are always out of money. Apparently, the Canadians who bought this Bank move at a much slower pace than Americans do. I'm currently looking for a different bank. I miss the Private Bank everyday. UPDATE: It is now 12:15am on Tuesday 10/29/19 and a cash deposit of $500.00 made inside a CIBC branch with a teller on Saturday 10/26/19 is still in "Pending" status.
