Previously I gave Hone2 Suites a 2 star review for a couple reasons (dirty dishes and hallways, (some) grumpy staff, non-functional hot plate, broken microwave), but as soon as I left the manager (definitely one of the sweetest people ever) reached out to me, apologized profusely for everything, and offered us points to help make up for it all. That was so totally not necessary, but she seemed really surprised and bothered that we’d had these experiences! Maybe our experiences were just a one-off (the hotel was dealing with at least one huge, rowdy wedding party and a kids’ sports team) or a result of brief memory slips (like starting the dishwasher—God knows I’ve done it). I’ll definitely give Home2 Suites a second chance when I come back to Frederick. The only thing I’ll change is bringing my own induction-safe pot for boiling water since they don’t have one haha.

Good sized suite rooms with ample storage space. Well located to food and gas. Close to downtown Frederick and convenient to highways. Lots of construction in the area now, be careful at night especially. Bathrooms are a bit small for the size suite.

Newer hotel so rooms and amenities are nice. However, we had a bad experience with our room. First, we arrived after 4pm and there were a dozen or so people waiting in the lobby because rooms were not ready. Check-in is at 3pm so they were already running behind schedule to get people in their rooms. Second, the room type we reserved was not available so they had to switch us to a studio. We were travelling with 2 small children so not having the suite was a huge inconvenience. On top these 2 failures, the staff was unapologetic. They blamed the booking sites and say they can't guarantee any room type. I call B.S. on that and will be investigating to see if we are owed any sort of refund for not getting the room type we booked.

Totally average property. Clean on the outside. Parking is tight, though. Entrances are confusing - it’s hard to tell where the front of the building is located. Staff is very friendly! This is your high point. They are trying their best to do a good job in a hotel that’s had a bit of a rough life. Cleverly designed suites/studios. Furniture fits together well, and serves multiple purposes - the desk can become a dining table for instance. Lots of shelves and drawers to keep your stuff. Many usb charging outlets. The materials are becoming worn, though. our couch had a burn mark (more of a melted mark) on the arm. The sheets, mattress and towels are showing their age and are not of great quality. The carpet felt clean but looks dirty. For the price you likely have better options. There’s a Homewood Suites and a Holiday Inn Express nearby that we will likely try next time.
