I regularly scrap kitchen equipment and other heavy items there. If you want the most money out of your scrap metal, separate the aluminum from the copper from the stainless steel from the regular steel, each of those are paid at different rates. Otherwise if you just dump a truckload of stuff, you get the standard per ton rate at the time, which does vary, and is the lowest compared to any of the more sought after specific metals.

Great place to recycle electronics. I dumped a couple pins full of old cords, DVD players, controllers and other miscellaneous e-waste. I also received a few dollars from recycling the electronics.

Metal is paid out for by weight so I don't think it matters if they are crushed or uncrushed

Yes you can actually recycle a junk car if you bring it in on a trailer or otherwise get it to the facility. They will pay you the standard per ton rate for general scrap metal, but you have to have a clean title and driver's license showing that you own the vehicle. In my experience, I get more money from a junk car in scrap then I do by taking it to an auto junkyard
