Great beach!! Be prepared to walk a bit because of parking💁🏼♀️

One of my favorite beaches in the Fort Myers area! A lot of photo ops at this beach! $2 per hour for parking is a great price as well! They also have a place to park your bikes if that is what you prefer.

The beach is lovely with beautiful sunsets. However, it’s hard to spend time there because of the nasty little flies which eat you alive. Also at certain time of the year it smells really bad because of the wetlands surrounding the bay. There are no bathrooms nor showers anywhere, the parking is limited and has to be paid. There is one or two picnic tables. It’s handicap accessible.

I LOVE this beach. The water is beautiful. It’s the only one we wanted to go to because it’s so chill. Very quiet and absolutely beautiful. Sunset gave me the chance to get some awesome pictures. I hope I get to go back one day. I’m thankful I got to go so many times on my trip. Occasionally you’ll find some glass from a bottle, but that’s any beach. Just pick it up and discard it in a trash can. Also, be aware of tree roots and rocks near the beach. Once you get past the shells and dead trees, it’s smooth sand.

1st as the name suggests the park is a public own park. Therefore it's NOT a PRIVATE beach 🏖. We Americans are very PURITANICAL about such things. ...
Yes..but go at low tide..nice birds there too! We had a great time walking the beach ! Not much beach at high tide..low tide is best! Will be going back!😊😊
Sign states No Fires, as it is a preserve it may disturb the wildlife...
Yes. It is very close to the pay station and only steps away from the beach's entrance
There's no cost only for parking 🅿, but many people ride their bikes to the preserve.
Know not that I know of . Come on kids go-to the beach
No pets allowed... Fort Myers Beach... yes on a 4 foot leash also south end pass lovers key call DOG Beach no leash great place for dogs to run Free !! ;-)
Well if there are any I haven't found them yet. I better look more intently. Lots of families there, but there is a lot of nooks and crannies to hide in.
That's incorrect. Many people take their dogs and risk a ticket. It is patrolled pretty regularly by rangers. The only place to my knowledge where dogs are allowed is on a stretch of sand adjecent to lover's key.
Yes
There is no actual parking lot you park on the right-of-way heading northbound it can be quite a distance if you're not there early enough to get a spot
Thanks I will try contacting them,
Yes they have two park grills in the park. I would suggest that you look at their website, but I've been to Manatee Park which is also a Lee County Park and you can most definitely use the grills near the pavilions. So one would think that you should be able to bring your own grill as long as you leave the park as you found it.
It's beautiful to watch the sun slowly set down under the horizon.
