I’ve been searching for a solid Nashville style hot chicken sando, and State Park is *easily* the best. The ghost pepper in the spice mix is very present, but not overwhelming (if you can handle spice), and the chicken was cooked very well. If you’re into spice and want a chicken sando this should be your first stop whenever you’re in the Boston area.

Man I can say more good things about this place. From the food to the jukebox, the hospitality of the staff. This bar is an integral part of the community and I’m happy to have a place like this in my neighborhood. Can’t recommend it enough, get the hot chicken you won’t regret it.

You have to provide proof of vaccination to enter. Once inside if a table is requested you are advised that “ they’ll expect you to order entrees.” Once the check was delivered I notice that a 20% tip was added (for two of us) because of some employee compensation surcharge. The server explained that was to ensure that the front of the house, back of the house and service staff received a “living wage.” I’m not quite sure if they know how tips work. Anyhow, food was a 6/10. Cool place but don’t expect to see it open in a year.
