I only had coverage for brief period of time, but the onboarding and customer service was wonderful. Everyone that I talked to was incredibly polite and cheerful. It's so great that this Health insurance coverage is provided to those that need it. NJ Family care program should be expanded to all Americans.

I've had medicaid for many years and gravitated towards Horizon because I always thought they were the better insurance but I finally switched to Amerigroup and couldn't be happier. The employees actually care about their patients/customers and ensure we are being helped as much as possible. Wish I would've realized sooner but I'm happy to be apart of it now. Thanks for always checking up on me and for giving me great benefits!

I called an Amerigroup representative this morning with what I thought was a complicated issue. This resentative resolved the issue with ease and expediency, and even called back with more information and resources. Absolutely amazing! They have managed to demystify what was previously a complex system. THANK YOU AMERIGROUP NEW JERSEY.

Questions & Answers

I got glasses transitions that with Amerigroup as my insurance didn’t pay very much towards my glasses. My question is does Amerigroup pay for the examination after one year?

Yes, annual eye exam covered but if you have other insurance, that is primary. Go to a provider that takes both. Find a NJ provider at superiorvision.com

Do I need a referral to see the ob/gyn or dentist

Hi, and great Q. I don't think that you require one for the ob/gyn. It might depend on what you need from the dentist. Regular visit you shouldn't require one but other services perhaps. The best answers though may well come from participating providers if you have found practitioners in network that you would like to see. Best of luck!
