Hello I just wanted to come here and say something. Heather@prime, was very rude. My brother applied for the cdl training program. We weren’t aware that because he is not fluent in English that this was a problem. When she called I informed her I was his translator and that he was next to me. Miss.Heather proceeded to say “no, no he needs to communicate in English, can you put him on the phone” -in a very rude way. Then he was trying to communicate the best he could and two question in she said “—- if you can’t communicate in English this is not for you” or something along the lines. This was very rude and I understand that he can take a while to answer a question, but you can’t just run someone off when he loves trucks and to drive them. She could’ve simply have said “ I’m sorry but we need someone that is fluently speaking, this might not be the perfect time for you” that would’ve been better than her tone downgrading someone because they are not fluent in a language. I’m sure you have nice people working for you but if she can’t simply explain to someone in a nice matter service should not be a profession you should be in. This is coming from someone who does close to the same thing on a daily basis you need to learn or train the people on how to let people know things in a way that will not come off as rude or making people feel incompetent. Thank you, Melanie G.

Tight parking for tractor/trailers. Tractor Shop was amazing, highly worth the wait. Utah/MO wins when it comes to the chow hall.

To start, I'm giving three stars because there is room for improvement. I'll start with the positive. Positive: The new parking lot across the street has been great for me to keep my car parked safely. This terminal location is perfect for me since I'm a Philly local. I personally haven't had issues with getting my truck inspected at a moments notice. There is sometimes an extremely long wait, but I always do it when I'm taking home time. I leave the keys and by the time I'm ready, the work is done. Convince of laundry, showers, fitness center, salon, and massage. Room for improvement: This is more of a Pennsylvania issue, but there does seem to be an issue with how some staff speak to or treat drivers. I'm a very polite and professional individual and even I've experienced situations where staff at driver lineup, shop and wash bay has not been professional or polite in return to me. This is not all staff, but enough to leave bad memorable experiences. The cafe has an issue with staffing which causes the grill to consistently be closed or even completely close the cafe early. This terminal can get very busy at times making trailer and truck parking difficult to find. The long wait timesnand poor service can be very inconvenient. Great example. This morning I was at the tire shop at 6am when they open. I stood there for an hour and nobody even attempted to assist me. I asked several shop mechanics who was working the tire shop and they all said not me. Not once did any of them attempt to page or call the mechanic assigned to the shop to come provide assistance. All I wanted was air in my tractor tires after returning from vacation. So, I was forced to backup and wait another hour at the only outbound bay open. Since they blocked the other one. Conclusion: Springfield terminal is obviously the best terminal to go to. Salt Lake is second, and yes, they have their own areas where they could improve as well, but they are far superior facilities and adequately staffed. Honestly, if I didn't live in this area, I'd exclusively go to those two. However, for me the convince factor is a life saver. Also, they're making attempts to improve this terminal, so I won't be too hard on Prime. We'll see if the facility has improved by the end of 2023.

Nice small terminal for prime drivers

They have an orientation and training program in Pittston for incoming drivers that already have their cdl, but for those without a cdl training is done in either Springfield, Mo or Salt Lake City, Ut. A new training pad is currently under construction in Pittston and once it is completed cdl training will be available in Pittston as well.
Good morning! Yes, we offer the Prime Training Program in Springfield, MO; Pittston, PA; and Salt Lake City, UT. New classes start every week in Pittston, PA. Learn more here: https://primeinc.com/cdl-training-program .
Hours in Springfield is 24 hours. Pittston has different hours every day. Sometimes 7 sometimes 6... even as early as 3
Otr first... you usually have to get some good showing as a driver before you get offered or can move to a dedicated... but sometimes you can spin the wheel and get lucky too lol
You must have a regular, valid United States driver's license for the previous 12 months to be eligible to drive for Prime Inc.
No but they've put you up in a hotel nearby. they do have bunk rooms here for drivers that come in for a 10-hour break or 34-hour reset but they're not fit for students to stay while they're training. It's a decent facility and you will get put up in a hotel nearby hope that answers your question.
Contact Prime directly and talk to a recruiter... or you could come over to BLC Transportation.. we haul all Prime loads and get paid better... 90% of the line haul.
Yes they shuttle to terminal. I checked at the hotel they gave me a day and time orientation started which was on a Monday. They will push you in the direction you need to go. Good luck.
Yes they have parking while you are in orientation and while you are in the training phases.
I thought 65 was slow. Cars don't respect big rigs.
You get your permit and CDL in the state you test out in. Then you change it to your home state during TNT training.
Yes. Training is great round. If you want a great recruiter call and ask for Julie Jones.
I got my permit in Maryland. Tested for cdl in PA. just started November 5. So.... Get your CLP in your home state then ask to go to Pittston with your recruiter. If you go to Springfield, you have to take permit all over again.
You can join Prime just went to automatic anyway
