Our family plot was purchased in 1954 after the death of my grandfather. In the interim, my grandmother, step-uncle, father, uncle and his wife, and finally, this month, my mother have all been interned at OLG cemetery. Throughout all those years my family has never had a bad word for this cemetery. My parents would visit at least two times a year, and after my father died, my sister and I would take my mother twice a year. The cemetery has always been in very well cared for condition. When we were making arrangements for my mother, Kathy and Barrett in the office were very helpful with transference of the deed and supplying a list of nearby restaurants that could host a luncheon after the service at the gravesite. For those considering this location for the burial of a loved one, just be aware of what they allow on the graves. A large sign is posted just outside of the office building that lets you know what is and isn’t allowed.

After reading some of the negative reviews here I was nervous about how I'd find my Grandmother's grave. It's 40+ years old. The cemetery was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. It was so peaceful that I saw deer on the property just a few yards away from me. You don't even notice the adjacent busy highway. I didn't notice any overgrown areas. I found the plot easily. From what I could see & I’ll post photos, there were no problems to report. One odd thing I noticed is the soil. It's a weird orange color and sandy consistently. Nothing I plant takes. ( maybe that's the idea?) I also noticed several newer grave sites. They pile all the dirt and flowers on top of the grave that belongs to that person(s). Carefully done to not invade neighboring plots. I think many negative reviews must have been pandemic-related because it appears now all is well. I hope this review may give some families peace of mind. I visited on a Sunday in early October 2022.

I arrived at 9am on 24 Sep to find the crew waiting for me and they had everything all setup and waiting for me. My family's burial plot looked great, the grass was cut, green despite the very hot summer, and I couldn't find a weed anywhere. Sean and the other guy (sorry, that's just my age - you may want to dig a fresh one guys, it may not be long for me) were courteous, professional, and very respectful. It was a pleasure to talk to them and to hear people speaking normally (Philly accent) vs the "Hey ya'll drawl" I hear in VA all the time. I was very pleased at the overall condition of the cemetery. It was quiet, looked very neat and clean and it makes you proud to look out over it and to see all the flags for the veterans. It made me glad my family members had a quiet and peaceful place to rest.

Don't bury your loved ones here it's more heartbreak after already losing them... to come to their grave to see mounts of dirt on top of them to bury other people... not once but twice... he's only been buried less then 2 months and there is other places to put the dirt for other people's burials especially since there was no one else even buried on that entire path why not put the mound of dirt on the fresh grass?... it was not to fill his grave in more either in there is ply wood under the dirt... now the maker to his grave was smashed under their dirt 1 time and now it's gone completely what goes on here... no one is considering this is all that's left our your loved one. Be more CONSIDERATE TO THOSE WE LOST
