The *only* reason for the full five stars for service is that the staff that were amazing completely eclipsed the staff that were not amazing. Chip Cindy and Jessica manned the dining area for lunch and breakfast were just the best. Amber at the front desk also was amazing. I think as a review .. forgive the construction because I can see how it all will make the resort better. Rough creek reminds me of a cruise on dry land. So much is inclusive so for the adventurous will get their money's worth. Complimentary boats for fishing ... discover golf miniature golf ... beautiful night sky. The beds were comfortable and the pillows on the bed were welcomed. Usually the extra pillows are excessive. Here you have a variety of comfy amd useful pillows including a body pillow that gave one of the best nights sleep I've had at a hotel. The air conditioning was unbeatable. At 104 ... my room was set at 62 ...

My family and I really enjoyed our visit at Rough Creek Lodge and Resort. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The food was amazing. The amenities were awesome. It was worth the cost and a memory that will last a lifetime.

The staff are unbelievably amazing! The activities are all so fun. We stayed at the residences, and the house was very functional. All the stuff you need to cook. The food was unbelievable!

This is a ranch style resort with a little bit of everything for everyone. The service was spot on in every category. The rooms were more like a suite and the suites are like a luxurious studio apt minus the kitchen. The food stood out on its' own. We are foodies and Chef Gerard Thompson is THE star of that resort. I can faithfully say that every course was the best version of that food that I have ever had in any other establishment. The selections were robust and flavorful and perfectly paired. All the cured meats were done in house and one has to appreciate the skill, time and talent it takes to perfect that craft. If you love all things outdoors and the best cuisine you can get then I would not hesitate. Now, no place is perfect and there were a couple very minor inconveniences but most was due to the fact that they are still expanding to make it better. Nothing too distracting. Overall, a very pleasant experience and fun for all ages. Our only regret is that we wished we could have stayed longer.

Reservations are always a good idea at these places so the kitchen can plan.
