It is what it said it was, It's a very large parking area, no shade trees I could see, some grass freshly cut, it's not an area to let your dog run, very close to traffic. It you need a place to stop and stretch by your vehicle there's plenty of room for that

Strange place but I needed a break. Huge parking lot with a nice grassy area but only one covered picnic table with a grill overlooking the interstate. Would a family actually drive out there to barbecue and have the kids rolling around the grass with trucks zooming by at 80mph? I think I'll throw my next birthday party out there and grill up some dogs... But what if someone is already using the table when I show up?

A nice convenient place in the middle of nowhere to stop and rest and stretch your legs which is what I did exactly went for a nice quick walk the only people that I seen there for truckers there's a place for regular Autos to pull over as well there's only one or two picnic benches but still it's a desolate area not too many people or customers I should say pull up there is no restrooms here just a quick place to stop catch some shut-eye and get back on that long Highway thank you texas

We stayed here January 5th, 2018, in our RV. This rest area is mostly truckers. I slept fine, because I always wear ear plugs. Husband did not we had trucks right next to us. There is another rest area close by with less trucks and more lighting. This rest area has no lights. I felt secure staying here.
