Absolutely darling hotel, historically but comfortably restored. Room and beds very comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful. Dining area and courtyard space excellent. Best morning breakfast we’ve had in weeks on the road. The only improvement I would suggest is to get rid of all single use plates, plastic silverware, etc. Except maybe coffee take away cups. Eating breakfast on paper plates is disappointing. The town of Lewistown is up and coming too. Cute downtown with an air of historic prosperity that’s now moving around tourism. Highly recommend the Calvert Hotel and the town, too.

Traveled to Lewistown several years back from ND for the weekend on my birthday. Visited a local Hutterite colony. Also, Learned about the haunted history of the hotel while staying there. We stayed in the corner suite with the fireplace. Yes, we had “ghost encounters”! The 1st night, a heavy oak chair my wife was using in the bathroom was skidded across the travertine floor during the night. The following evening, we were talking about the hotel history. (We’ve had many ghost encounters over the years). I grabbed my camera and took several room pictures with flash. I captured many “orbs” and two apparitions. We still talk about it. BTW we are Pentecostal if you’re wondering. We’d stay again if in the area! Thank you for a memorable experience!

Very nice hotel near downtown. Breakfast selection was less than expected, but overall a great place to stay.

Calvert Hotel is beautiful and the staff were very polite. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future. We especially loved the bed, seriously it was so good. The rooms were clean, full of amenities, and very quiet! The hotel has free parking and breakfast is included; both of which we didn’t know when booking.
