You may wish to see if you still have warranty coverage. If NOT then you would need to take the generator to a small engine repair place where lawnmowers are repaired. Most common issues with generators are motor carburetors fouling up causing starting issues in addition failure to tune up every so often a generator can cause startup issues namely spark plugs not being replaced. For the more depending on the age of the generator it may not be cost-effective to have it repaired but to have it replaced with a brand new Harbor Freight generator keep in mind Harbor Freight do not repair generators
