My First time acupuncture experience. Great treatment

Mr Anderson

Mar 30, 2022

I got ripped off this morning from an acupuncture facility,  On Point Acupuncture & Wellness 596 N Kimball Ave Ste 110 Southlake TX 76092 who used the bait switch fraud on me. (A “bait and switch” is a violation of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act). I made an appointment the day before with a facility for an acupuncture  procedure. MY Cigna insurance company said the acupuncturist accepted their insurance. The day of procedure, they said "not any more". I CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT AND TO MY ASTONISHMENT THEY SAID THEY WE'RE CHARGING ME $50.!! FOR A MISSED APPOINTMENT!!, A Rip off! This happened at 11:30 am 3-30-2022 Also reporting this to the BBB. I SAID YOU WILL GET A BAD REVIEW. THEY SAID IT'S OUR POLICY.

DR PATEL GOT ME PREGNANT!… I should probably rephrase that…After 5 years of undiagnosed infertility, 2 surgeries, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed rounds of IVF; we finally got our FIRST BFP on our 3rd round of IVF after seeing Dr Patel for about 3 months. Over the years, I’d tried other acupuncturists but never saw much progress so I gave up. Dr Patel is very different. His treatment style is intuitive and he uses other methods in addition needles to help improve the efficacy such as electronic stimulation, acupressure stickers and herbs. He is also incredibly kind, easy to talk to and a walking wealth of wellbeing knowledge. We are so grateful to Dr. Patel for his incredible talent and for his help in finally making our dream of starting a family come true!

After my symptoms are reduced, what’s next?

On Point Acupuncture & Wellness | Sep 27, 2022

Just because you don’t feel pain or notice any symptoms, does not mean there is not an underlying issue needing attention. When the symptoms are no longer debilitating, we will then move you into our maintenance phase of your treatment plan. Again, because each person and ailment are unique, your maintenance plan will be specifically created just for you. This could mean you return monthly, every few months, or on an as needed basis. It is important to know that symptoms show up as the body’s way of communicating to us that we need to slow down or stop doing what we’re doing and address the underlying issue.

Do you need to see the same acupuncturist every time?

It is recommended to see the same provider for continuity of care, unless the patient is not able to see the provider when critically deemed necessary.

Does acupuncture just relieve pain, or will it treat the problem at its source?

On Point Acupuncture & Wellness | Sep 27, 2022
On Point Acupuncture & Wellness | Sep 27, 2022

Both. Acupuncture releases your body’s natural pain relievers known as “Endorphins.” *Studies have suggested that beta-endorphins are 18 to 33 times more potent analgesics than morphine. Acupuncture will also help clear neuro-pathways that improve blood flow that promotes healing which can reduce pain and inflammation.

How many sessions will I need?

On Point Acupuncture & Wellness | Sep 27, 2022
On Point Acupuncture & Wellness | Sep 27, 2022

Every person is unique in his or her own condition and history, therefore the number of sessions will vary. How quickly and aggressively YOU want to heal is the greatest factor in determining your treatment frequency! These significant changes can show in many ways: decreased pain levels, higher quality of sleep, increased energy, etc. These changes are dependent on the length of time you have suffered with a symptom. With each treatment, your body will continue to heal and relearn how to communicate clearly with itself! ~For most ACUTE CONDITIONS, 1-2 treatments can help resolve most issues or main concerns. Patients may require additional treatments to achieve desired effect. ~For most CHRONIC CONDITIONS, the initial treatment course is 12-15 treatments in addition to maintenance treatments. Patients may require additional treatments to achieve desired effect.
