Hy-Vee Grocery Store

On October 23 at 8:30pm I was in the store at the self checkout. The receipt printer was jammed. So I called for assistance. Logan went over to another lane 1st assisted and turned around and walked away. While I understand things can get overlooked there were only 2 people in the checkout lanes. It took over 5min to have a cashier come over. Upon arrival of Logan he didn’t greet us with a “helpful smile” or even say hello. There’s one thing I love about Hy-Vee is the fantastic customer service from this company. Unfortunately today was uncalled for. Logan very clearly stated “I don’t have the key I have to find someone” then proceeds to yell across the store from the cash register’s to the hot food/restaurant area asking “where is Cassie”. Then he proceeds to have another employee page her upfront. All the while Cassie is at Customer Service doing what appears to be closing duties. Logan then while standing at the self checkout holds his hand out and demanded from Cassie the keys to open the machine all just to have a receipt re-printed. My mother made a comment about being respectful and asked Logan to say please. Logan then proceeded to talk back in a disrespectful derogatory tone to her. Followed by Cassie saying he’s being rude I’m so sorry. Logan then proceeded to say “I don’t have a mother who taught me manners” what that has to do with anything I’m not sure. He then rolled his eyes multiple times throughout the interaction. Not once did he bother to apologize or even show any empathy for the issue with the receipt printer. It’s very evident he doesn’t want to be there and only cares about being social with the other workers. This is the 3rd time I’ve been here to have Logan have a poor attitude. He is disrespectful, catty, petty, and not helpful.

Do not order a cake online. I ordered my cake 2 days in advance of my event and I went to pick it up. No trace of cake or the order. Go in person if you order a cake. The costumer in front of me had the same experience, but for a 12 year old birthday. I got a cake, but a sad excuse for one. Don’t recommend online purchases.
