Had an EEG done due to sudden onset of grand Mal seizures. Drive an hour to get to my appointment and they “didn’t book my for my appointment time” even though they had record of my conversation about booking it. Thankfully the person they had double booked didn’t show up so I was able to get my EEG done - the lady at the front desk was extremely nice as well as the EEG tech, they were great and the only reason I was able to get my scan done. Absolutely nothing but good things to say about the two staff members I had contact with. However, I was told if the scan was abnormal I’d get a call, and a letter if it was normal. After 3 weeks, no letter and no call. Contacted the office and they pretty much said, again, “that’s weird, I dunno why you weren’t contacted.” I can’t go back to my second job (elementary school substitute) and I can’t drive until I figure out what’s going on, and this office while very nice has absolutely awful patient communication. My entire life is on hold until I get some answers, and I’ve now lost 3 more weeks due to them not sending my results saying I need another referral. They also sent me a bill for part of the appointment even though I’m fully covered through my insurance. If you have to go to Cox for neurology - stay on top of your care; confirm appointments before coming in, and call if you don’t hear anything. The care team is very nice but commutation is awful, something obviously very important if you’re having to see a neurologist.

The first dr was pretty rude everytime I saw him. He prescribed me shots which were quite painful and didn't work so I asked for a different medication & he said I could get a transfusion ever month. What? Drive 1.5 hours for this and separately scheduled follow up appointments. Way to much hassle. Then he left so my "care" went down the tube because I had to get another referral to see a different facility even though it was under the same company. As I don't get the referral information as it goes from my dr straight to the referred facility, called & made a new patient appointment and was told it was within referral dates. So we drove 1.5 hours, only to be told my referral expired four days earlier! It is up to the facility to request an extension but obviously they didn't & didn't seem to care about my wasting time, gas & effort getting to the appointment! So I've had no medication for my issues for eight months!! Don't recommend.

Saw Dr. Chiazo Amene for a cyst that is pushing against my spinal cord. She told me that is a part of getting older and I should just expect for the unbearable pain to be a part of my daily life; that she won't do anything to help me. I'm 29. Her bedside manner is garbage, she makes it perfectly clear she doesn't care about you. Doesn't deserve to be a doctor at all. Anywhere.

This facility practices very unkind and inconsiderate policies when it comes to letting people in the door. We drove over 2 hours for an appointment I had there. My wife let me out and went to park the car while I went in. She tried to come in to use the restroom and then go back to wait for me in the car. They refused to let her in and told her she needed to drive around in an unfamiliar area to find a retailer that would let he use their restroom when she wasn't a customer. I realize there are CoVid precautions but if she would have walked in with me then she would have been allowed in.. BAD MANNERS JNC.

Insist on dr Rahman or they will make you go threw phaset shots or eblasion Befe they will schedule with Rahman it took me a year of BS and several $$ before I got any relief.

If I am having problems now, why do I have to wait five months to see a doctor

Jane Squires | Oct 26, 2018
Lu | Oct 26, 2018

Feel fortunate it is just 5 months. I had to wait 8 months. There is doctor shortage and that is the reason for such a long wait
