Out-of-the-way space! Light beach traffic, beautiful view of the Fort Myers coastline. LOTS of shells! Not ideal for sunsets from our side of the island as a sunset sort of behind us, but great shallow water to play in for the kids. At low tide you can walk way out before the water starts to get deep. Fun title pools! And we saw a manatee in the water! Can’t ask for more than that :-) Parking is five dollars an hour by machine so prepared. Very nice bathroom facilities! At least on the beach side. I did not use the ones on the lighthouse side. Trails allow you to walk from one side of the lighthouse beach to the other. There is only swimming accessible on one side of the lighthouse.

Beautiful place to visit! This place has it all. A fishing pier, plenty of parking, beach area, and nature viewing. The park is well maintained. Lots of wildlife to admire! Water is crystal clear! Beach areas are pristine. Definitely make this a spot if you are in the area!

Best advice... get there before 9am to get a parking spot. It is $5 to park per hour. Well work it! Found some beautiful shells. There is also a fishing pier and public bathrooms. We enjoyed our day at this beach and will definitely return!

Beautiful beach with a lighthouse at one end. It's photogenic. The sand is light. The water fun rough. Parking is insufficient, but that's most beaches in Florida. The cost is $5 per hour. It has 2 restroom buildings.

Yes, dogs should be welcome on the beach
No, you can not climb it, you can only view it. But there is a nature trail.
You will find them on the causeway islands as you come on to sanibel

Parking is 5 dollars an hour. They don't offer an annual pass. There are 152 spaces there and valid handicapped tags park for free i recall seeing on the sign. Parking is 24 hours a day as well. Its a nice clean city run Beach. Enjoy your visit!!

I'm not sure. I know when we parked, they had meters that you paid for your time there. So I would think it wouldn't.
Not in the lighthouse, but before I get to the lighthouse there are beaches that can go Dogs.

No stores or rental just parking you have to pay to park.
In season, I'd say you need to arrive BEFORE 9am. In January, there was plenty of available parking well after that.
Its 5.00 an hour. You can pay with card as well. Take the advice of others and get there early or you will be outta luck. Beautiful place with excellent shelling. Even spotted dolphins just offshore.
Don't know that there is a closing time but be sure you have your paid parking ticket visible on your dashboard.
