I was scheduled to come in Wednesday but the friendly staff member, Kelly, called me to confirm my appointment and was even able to get me in to a sooner appointment!! The gentleman who completed my MRI was named John. He was friendly and easy going. I was quite anxious and he helped settle all my nerves. He even offered me a blanket for comfort and headphones with my choice of music! He made the experience so much better than I was anticipating. I highly recommend this location!

Thank you for your question. IV sedation for imaging is only done in a hospital. However, we do offer a wide bore MRI that provides over 2 feet of space between your nose and the closest part of the machine. In addition, the MRI has a short tube that allows for your head to remain outside of the tube for all imaging scans that are not of the head. If the head is being scanned, only your head is inside and you can see out by your legs and above your head. As such, most claustrophobic patients do feel comfortable in a wide bore MRI.
