This place is a last stop before death. The staff is rude , threatening and down right nasty. Sanitation does not exist with this place. If you can avoid using this facility please do! If you get stuck having to put a loved one here. Well, my prayers are with you. 5th floor, McClaren, where they send you to die!!

This is the worst hospital I have ever been to in my life . My son goes in suicide and still not getting help 6 hrs later. It needs to be clised

My husband, Robert L. Boik left Spectrum Gerber Hospital in Fremont, MI 49412 on Nov. 11, 2021. He was off the vent, had a tracheostomy, oxygen mask on trach. Doing good. No more Covid. Got to Select Specialty Hospital in McLaren Hospital in Flint, 3 hours from home. I DID NOT want him to go there. Felt pressure from aftercare to send him there. Put him BACK on the vent, protocol (screw their protocol). He went there to get weaned off the trach so he could come closer to home for rehab. A lot happened while he was there. Not good things. Dirty room. I had to get him help when he needed it. Bad Doctor. Never touched him to listen to his heart/lungs. Never checked his BLOATED stomach. Asked ME how he was doing. Jtube surgery. I could only be there during visiting hours so didn't see him before they took him to surgery. I have a lot of pictures of him i took while he was there. Lot of tests when they finally decided to check on his stomach. Gallbladder surgery Dec. 10, 2021. Again. I couldn't see him before surgery. After surgery. CCU. He never woke up. He passed away early Dec. 11, 2021. After I'm home for a couple weeks I get a letter in the mail from McLaren addressed to Robert. "Robert, we see you were discharged Dec. 10, 2021. Can you fill this survey out on your stay here. OMG! I wrote on letter. Not discharged Dec. 10, 2021, passed away in your CCU Dec. 11, 2021. And I filled out the survey. I have not heard back. Maybe I'll get a lawyer.

After a long fight with covid 19 I am happy to say I am on my way home. Iwas at 2 hospitals prior to heading to Select. Once I got to Select Specialty I immediately started my healing from this nasty virus. Between the Doctors, CNA’s, Pt, (Nicole & Stacy), Nurses, to many wonderful nurses to name, and of course the cooks that kept us strong. There isnt a better team than the ones at Select. You will never regret going to Select Specialty for your medical needs.
