Very nice little horse ride within this range. The places are sublime and this kind of activity lends itself very well to the place. Our guide, Lori, was very kind and allowed us to share an unforgettable experience, even for beginners. It is no wonder that people return to this guest ranch for years and years. (There is a guest that comes all the way from Israel every year, and no, she is not related to anyone at the ranch, she comes back because she loves it here.) I was solo at the Cowgirl Roundup and there were maybe 6 other solo female travelers, so I fit right in. The staff bend over backward to make you feel welcome and include so many added touches like pairing you with the right horse, considering your dietary needs, even branding your boots if you like! The cabins were rustic, clean and comfy, the food excellent, and the riding safe and fun. But it really is the staff that make the stay so fantastic from the wranglers to the management. One of my best trips ever and I have toured all fifty states and countless countries around the world.

Sylvan Dale offers horseback rides through gentle terrain to extended climbing rides with ridge-top views. Our 3,200 acres offer a “don’t fence me in” riding experience for all ages and abilities. Lots to do, no pressure to do it: head up Sulzer Gulch shaded by cottonwoods; explore the old wagon trails on Alexander Mountain; climb the rocky slopes of Eagle Ridge; ride across the meadows on Green Ridge; or catch the breathtaking view from the Rim Ride.
Tips are gratefully accepted and are not included in the package rates. We ask that any monetary gift be left at the Office at time of check-out. Our “tip pool” policy assures that all staff will benefit from your generosity. Thank you.
For groups under 20, a deposit equivalent to 30% of the total package price will secure your Dude vacation reservation. Groups of 20 or more and special packages require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
If you must cancel, we will refund the entire deposit less $100 per person if the cancellation is at least 90 days prior to planned arrival. Because there is no refund for groups of 20 or more, we strongly recommend trip insurance to protect from cancellation losses.

They have cabins onsite. Not very many though so get in contact with them sooner rather than later to book a room. Loveland is only a few miles down the road with plenty of hotel options as well.
