I honestly can’t believe my experience. The owner seem to be a very nice person with a business that was just either not his passion or anything that he wanted to do. He had a crew, they came whenever they wanted to, and only worked maybe an hour or two.During a time that the crew was here they pretty much walked in circles or talk on their phone. The job is supposed to be a one-stop started in April and was told that it would only take two weeks. These pictures were taken today September 20. I will also include some pictures from earlier in the project. I am not sure if they even intend it to complete the project, we spent tens of thousands of dollars on materials, I’m not sure if they were new, and as you can see we did not get all of our materials. They know call no show after August 1, they told us that they were going to come and now I’ve been unresponsive. I’ve checked with another contractor and was told that the job was not properly and that most the work will have to be taken up and re-done. This will cost us more money, therefore this is our backyard until next year. This company was also supposed to set up an open my pool and I had to contract another person, otherwise last year winter cover would still be on it. If you notice I do not leave a lot of negative reviews and I leave positive reviews when I can. There are a couple other reviews with similar experiences I’ve also checked with my community here in Clarkston Michigan and there are several others.I really hope this does not happen to anyone else.Also if the work is ever finished I will update my review.

When feasible, we try to contract local independent companies; Lawn N Order (a landscape design and maintenance organization based out of the Waterford, MI area) was recommended by someone that had previously utilized services provided by the company. I wish our experience with this business was positive but working with this company (specifically the owner) has been quite an ordeal. Several jobs were quoted and scheduled with this company, but only one job was completed. During that job, some property damage occurred; Mike quickly came out and promised to repair the damage when working on the other proposed jobs, and we agreed in good faith as up to that point he had been quick to respond. Although we had several projects proposed, we continuously communicated that we would start with several small but urgent projects so his company could demonstrate results before committing to larger and more expensive projects. Instead of embracing the opportunity, Mike actions indicated we were no longer priority as his company never showed up to perform the agreed services. After some early delays, he finally agreed to a start date; he scheduled an appointment with us so he could bring his job foreman out to review the project as well as formally sign the work agreement and collect the down payment for the job. He was a no-call, no-show for that appointment and his crew did not show up to perform the work on the day Mike committed. It was several weeks before he finally responded to inquiries; this quickly became a pattern with Mike. Getting commitments on timing for confirmed projects was extremely difficult, and he constantly made excuses and rescheduled (not just days, but weeks at a time). He did not keep appointments and never followed through on providing requested documentation. Contacting Mike also proved to be a challenge; he rarely answers his phone and voicemails cannot be left because his inbox is always full. He never responded to email, and only occasionally responded to texts. When it became obvious that Mike had no intention of completing the projects we had agreed upon, we started insisting that the only project of concern was the property damage he committed to resolve. The last time I received any feedback from Mike was almost three weeks ago when he briefly texted that he was on an unplanned vacation and would contact me when he was back. Despite numerous requests for status via multiple means of communication, I have not received any further response from Mike. Four months later, he still has not resolved the property damage he committed to address. “GIVING YOUR YARD THE JUSTICE IT DESERVES!” This is the slogan printed on Mike’s business card; unfortunately, this was not our experience with Lawn N Order (and Mike in particular).

I ask that no one should give any new business to MIKE from Lawn N Order unless he finishes his current jobs! As of now, I find him not professional and not reliable. He promised to finish my job in 2 days last week(August 2-3). As of today August 13, the job is unfinished and has has left my lawn a mess and by not finishing the job last week I have water in my basement from this week’s storms. He promised that he will be at the job and make sure that everything will be done properly. He has not been here. He sent different crew members for few hours for three days since last week, after I sent him multiple texts while he is vacationing in Tennessee!!! He does not answer his phone and his voice mail is full.

Mike and his crew did a phenomenal job on my house. The landscaping had been neglected for a very long time and it was a really big job. They were professional, reasonably priced, and thorough. I highly recommend him.
