I was a rehabilitation patient for nearly a full month. The nursing care staff was so very kind and considerate. They treated me like family. They truly cared that my needs were being met. I'm a senior, therefore their concern, kindness, and follow through was greatly appreciated The cleaning staff kept my room spotless. They were also very kind and spoke to me every day inquiring how I was doing or just saying hello. Before coming to Promedica I was house bond due to my disability. Their daily kindness was so appreciated. Now for the rehabilitation staff: They worked with me 5 days a week. They asked me what I wanted to accomplish and worked with me to reach those goals. When I left, all of my goals had been met. I had regained my quality of life. I left to continue my rehab at home and finally at out patient therapy. But, Promedica prepared me to move on to the other steps. I left feeling secure that I was ready to continue my life with a quality I have not known for several years. I am truly grateful for your help! Thank you!

Look elsewhere for your loved one’s care. This location was like Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The first week was horrible. Uncaring, indifferent nursing staff. At one point, I was told to stand next to my mother’s nurse’s station and “ask my questions while she (her nurse) worked” on her computer. This nurse couldn’t even take a few minutes to speak to me directly. We never knew for sure if my mother was getting her services, since it took a great deal of effort to find someone to talk to us or answer the phone when we called. One day, my mother, with a broken hip, arm and mild dementia, was left sitting in her nightgown all day, cold, her food tray pushed to the side, essentially out of reach. When I asked the floor supervisor if she was was taken to PT in her NIGHTGOWN, or even taken to PT at all that day, I was told to ask the PT Department. This supervisor didn't know? Couldn’t find out for us? That day floor supervisor was miserable to deal with. Angry and argumentative. Not the kind of person who should be working with vulnerable, helpless elderly people. Meals were inconsistent. Often quite late. They regularily served food my mother could not cut with only one useable arm. After a week, we made plans to move her out of that facility. Until she tested POSITIVE for COVID. Three years in assisted living, she never had Covid. Didn’t have Covid in the hospital the week before or upon entering ProMedica. Caught Covid within 5 days at ProMedica. We were forced to keep her there 10 more days to recover. That’s when the situation improved. She was placed in a single isolation room. She had kind, communicative nurses and nursing assistants who were happy to talk to us. She had a helpful nurse practitioner who called us often. She received PT and OT in her room. She is now safely and happily back in her assisted living and receiving all the services and care she needs to recover. We are grateful to the nurses and assistants who cared for her in her 2nd week there and also immensely relieved to put the nightmare of that first week behind us. We DO NOT recommend this facility. You don’t know what kind of care and environment you will get. Don’t risk it with your vulnerable loved ones.

My loved one has been here one day and I am ready to take her out of here. She did not get lunch and it is now 7:20pm and still no dinner. When we asked the nurse about dinner she said it comes when it comes and you get what you get. I am really hoping that tomorrow(Monday) is better. If not I will be removing my loved one. These poor people in here aren’t getting the assistance they need.
