(((Edited in response to owner below initial review))) RENTER BEWARE - DON'T TRUST THE UNIT DESCRIPTIONS OR IMAGES. I leased a unit a month ahead of moving in, sight unseen. The day I was supposed to move, with 2 men and a truck at my home, I get a text at 9:17 AM that the unit didn't have a balcony, even though the model that was shown DID have a balcony and was the same unit address 12 floors apart . Long story short - RCA refuses to reimburse 100% ($653.50) of the duplicate moving fees that I had to pay in order to have 2 men and a truck come back 48 hours later. These are charges I would have never incurred except for their complete failure and incompetence. Note - my rent increased more than $1000/month because the unit I ended up moving to is a penthouse. They will placate you, to get you out of their face, yet they will refuse to do what is right when the time comes. GET EVERY VERBAL AGREEMENT IN WRITING AND SEE ALL UNITS AHEAD OF SIGNING A LEASE. My view is nice from the penthouse but dealing with this level of indifference is nauseating when paying over $3k/month rent. I feel very "WELCOMED TO THE CLUB" as they love to say. ============= The owner reply is exactly why I wrote this review. I am not a liar. I literally said: (((Note - my rent increased more than $1000/month because the unit I ended up moving to is a penthouse.))) The parking was granted for the inconvenience of the unit I leased not having a balcony - the cost of moving the the move-in date is a separate. It's not easy to just "move somewhere else" the day that you were supposed to move into a lease that was signed a month before when the movers are at your home. My expenses increased by over $14,000.00 because of your failure PLUS the over $2,200.00 for the move of which, $653.50 was100% due to RCA incompetence PLUS I had to extend my prior rental due to the move delay and that costed me an additional $1,200.00. So the so called credit is NOT a credit when I'm ultimately the one at a loss; AND I did reach out to you with no resolution so my only recourse is to help make sure others are informed.

Fix the elevators. For the love of god. 3 stars for the view, and for city market. And the front door people they’re super cool.

I moved out earlier this year after being a resident for about 20 months. Overall, it was an ok experience and I really enjoyed the views of downtown and proximity to things. The value has been consistently going down though. Elevators were always breaking. Frequently I would have to wait 15-30 minutes to get in an elevator because of long lines. Imagine you want to go out for a short walk and have to wait 30 minutes. Forces you to stay inside more. Trash chute also broke several times for weeks. Also, if you care about recycling, the building website advertises that they recycle but I was informed that all the recycling is just thrown away. They request you don’t put recyclables down the trash chutes because they can clog them, not because they get recycled. The concierges were always friendly, but fixing things was out of their control. The 8th floor management seemed to be responsible for this, but there was frequent staff turnover so no progress was ever made. I recommend living here if you can be very patient with the issues stated above.

Pros: - staff is friendly - 24/7 concierge service - location is amazing - view on Detroit river is beautiful - apartments are renovated and spacious - parking is secure - the complex market open till 2am Cons: - the building is old in general - getting to apartment from parking is a bit complicated, taking two elevators - pool is under renovation so not available - rooftop grill is not working - business center screens are old and broken - elevators and entrance smell really bad on some days Bottom line if amenities are maintained appropriately this would be a great apartment complex

Parking in the attached garage. Pretty secure - no issues since we've been here. Not included in rent but you can add on spots $150 for the first.
