Beaumont Urgent Care - Novi

I've had many experiences with Beaumont as a whole and all have been extremely positive. However, I've only had two with this urgent care location. One was a pre-op covid test. Made appointment online, checked in with front desk staff (who were not super welcoming or friendly), waited briefly, had my test and left. Completely as expected. My second experience was was less than positive and definitely not aligned with Beaumont's mission, vision, or values. A couple was walking out as I was walking in with two of my children and gave us a warning that something inside was off. We proceeded inside where we were not greeted warmly and immediately told that the wait would be two hours. There was no one in the waiting area and only the other couple in the parking lot. We did try to make an appointment before arriving, but the site was having trouble. It did appear, though, that there were many appointments available. My 6 year old daughter was in tears and just needed to be seen quickly for an ear infection that came out of nowhere- of course on a Sunday afternoon. One of the ladies at the desk had a huge attitude and was extremely unpleasant. My daughter needed to be seen urgently- but Beaumont urgent care could not care for her. We said we did not have two hours to wait and left. On our way out, a man in the back started yelling at us with a harassing tone. Not friendly. Not compassionate. Not simple. Definitely not inspiring hope. Total fail of an attempt to have a simple ear infection treated. I hope it was a fluke and no one ever experiences what we did- although the couple before us definitely did! Maybe something random that we didn't know about behind the scenes was happening. I can give that grace. However, we won't be back to that location because of the way we were treated. We drove a mile away and were seen immediately and had antibiotics in her system within an hour. That's simple. That's inspiring hope. That's compassionate. This experience was just unfortunate.

In and out with xrays done in about 30-45 minutes. Didn't have to wait for more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Friendly staff.
