From a truckers standpoint, super awesome and friendly folks that will work with you, within reason, to get you moving and back on the road... they provided an overnight space and were rdy to go when they said they would be, what more could a trucker ask for!?

Aye man, the fact that it you can’t drive down the road without having your car look like it got done sliding down a muddy cliff, and takes 10 min extra to get to work is unacceptable. DO BETTER

The incompetence of these people is astonishing. They close a road for months on end (Zeeb) for a project that should take 2weeks. They detour that traffic miles out of the way to Wagner and don't bother to change the timing on the stop lights. Traffic on Wagner is now backing up in a solid wall from Jackson to Scio Church.

Yes it is!

This is the third year in a row we have not seen a snow plow on our street during or days after a snow storm. Not sure how to get help with this?

Sharrie Parke | Oct 25, 2020
Washtenaw County Road Commission | Oct 25, 2020

Hi Sharrie, please give us call at (734) 761-1500 to discuss. Our snow plow drivers follow a priority system, during a storm they are working their primary routes - highways and major paved roads. After the storm is over and the primary routes are clean, they start work on neighborhood streets and unpaved roads, depending on the storm it can take days to get to all of them. With that being said, if you live on a public road, we shouldn't be skipping any areas. Please give us a call to get more information.

is there a park and ride lot at 6 mile and us 23

Hi John, it really depends on what type of work you are interesting in bidding on. You can check out our procurement page to learn about our bid processes: https://www.wcroads.org/doing-business/procurement/

will they prep the roads early for the freezing rain? what will m14 be like at 5....not used to that rd

Mary-Jane Neill | Oct 26, 2019
Washtenaw County Road Commission | Oct 26, 2019

Hi Mary-Jane, our crews are scheduled to come in very early tomorrow morning to battle against the forecasted ice. I can't say what the condition of M-14 will be at that time though, while it is one of our top priorities, the condition will really depend on the weather. I encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter - @WashtenawRoads, we try to post the latest info on those sites.

Who is responsible for the stretch of road on Monroe Rd. on the bridge in Saline?

Melinda Johnson | Oct 26, 2018
Washtenaw County Road Commission | Oct 26, 2018

Hi Melinda, the City of Saline is responsible for the bridge over the Saline River on Monroe Rd. Monroe Rd becomes our responsibility about where it turns to Macon Rd.

We live in A subdivision between Huron River Drive and Textile Road (Big Pine). We have literally been stranded in our homes since Friday. I have a very sick granddaughter with a fever and ear ache. We cannot get out to a main road to get her to a Dr

I live near Merritt Rd. and Munger Rd. Plow trucks have shoved snow from driveways, but not far enough across Merritt. As a result, there are mounds of snow protruding into the road, making it an intermittent one lane road. It's dangerous when a car is coming right at you, and there's no where to go. Very disappointed in our Road Commission. Larger roads were also horrible all weekend. Public safety should mandate that during occasions of large snowfall, crews should have to work until roads are safe. Period.

Who does one speak with about the ridiculous intersection traffic at North Territorial and Pontiac Trail daily traffic backups?

James Pickell | Oct 26, 2017
Washtenaw County Road Commission | Dec 29, 2021

Hi James, thanks for your question. I have good news - we are planning to build a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of N. Territorial Rd and Pontiac Tr this summer (2022). This should help with the congestion issues.
