As I entered the grounds at Hamilton Trace, I felt like I was arriving in the peaceful, rural countryside. The residences, with their charming mansard style roof lines, reminded me of large homes, where I expected overwhelming apartment buildings. I met the property manager, Alyssa, in the office, and we set out on our tour. From the start, she painted wonderful images of Hamilton Trace, using broad words as brushstrokes. Here, and there, surprising colorful perennial growth punctuated the delightful private walk-out patios. I was immediately taken by the spacious 659 square foot exemplar, she presented to me. Although, it is a cozy square footage, it seems roomy enough for just myself. We were even intrigued by a brilliant green toad snuggled on top of a wooden sign. Sun glinted off of the inviting outdoor pool. Everywhere, here, there are signs of an enticing hidden community, nestled in amongst the most accessible of urban landscapes. There is little about Hamilton Trace, which is short of idyllic. And, to be honest, I look forward to calling this place, my home.

Fairly normal apartment complex. I’ve had a few issues with maintenance stealing from my apartment. Small things such as towels and clothing. So I’ve informed them that they’re no longer allowed in my unit for any reason unless I am there. They do an OK job of adhering to that. I’ve caught them once in my unit without permission or me being present. Management handles all issues fast and very well. Outside of maintenance it’s a great place so far.

Great community of people. Friendly neighbors! Staff is very helpful and approachable with any questions or concerns. Love we are close to parks and trails to walk with my kids!

Application fees are $50 per person 18 and older occupying the apartment.
Heat and electricity are individually metered and billed directly to residents from Consumers Energy. A flat fee of $34.00 is charged each month with rent to cover water, sewer, and trash.
