I had a Bilateral Upper Lid Ptosis surgery, a bilateral lower eyelid transconjunctival blepharoplasty and a right upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Dr. Amiya Prasad has exceeded my expectations. I’m very pleased with the results. My husband and friends say I look 10 years younger. Thank you Dr. Prasad for giving me back my confidence. I am a retired healthcare administrator residing in Chicago IL and traveled to New York to have my eye surgery with Dr. Prasad. Being in healthcare for many years I knew the importance of doing much research to find the best surgeon to do this type of cosmetic procedure. So thankful and Blessed that I choose Dr. Prasad. My experience with Dr. Prasad was the best. He was very Personable addressed all of my concerns and made me feel totally comfortable and at ease. Not only is he a kind and caring human being he is a highly skilled and artistic surgeon. I highly recommend him. Excellent Patient Care Experience: His staff did a phenomenal job from start to finish. Consultation, scheduling, paperwork, and post-surgical care. Thank you so much Ania, Zack, Dora, and other clinical staff for making me and my husband feel like family. Maria Smith

Hi Naresh Chary, I don’t administer PRP alone for hair loss because it has a limited effect on hair, usually just short-term hair growth. Also, the number of sessions needed does vary, and the longevity of results is unpredictable. Hair Regeneration is a PRP combination treatment where PRP is the activator of the main ingredient extracellular matrix by ACell. Hair Regeneration is a one-time treatment for most patients, and can last up to 5 years and beyond, depending on the aggressiveness of the hair loss pattern. You don't need repeat injections periodically, and many older Hair Regeneration patients don’t use maintenance drugs like finasteride, but finasteride is a must for our younger male patients with very early and aggressive hair loss due to high DHT-sensitivity as Hair Regeneration is not a DHT-blocker. PRP injections for hair loss are needed indefinitely. Hair Regeneration patients can stop using minoxidil completely, or be weaned off it to prevent a sudden hair shed.
Hi Jaylo Magistrado, We do have experience in using extracellular matrix by ACell in regenerating ear cartilage, but timing since your infection is an important factor in this procedure. A physical exam is needed to determine what can be done for you. I hope this helps you.
Statistically, it’s unlikely you’ll have issues with sexual function. The majority of patients who I’ve treated who had any issues with sexual side-effects were able to stop the drug and go back to normal. I haven’t had a single patient who had long-term problems with sexual side-effects after the cessation of finasteride. From my clinical experience, and experience of colleagues with whom I discuss this concern, we actually had a significant consensus agreeing that there is a commonality. In clinical practice, whether it’s a drug, device, or technique, doctors doing similar things will often share similar experiences. So this problem of not having good sexual function after ending the drug is highly unusual and needs further investigation. I think this is an opportunity to put into perspective the drug in terms of long-term sexual side-effects and its alternatives, & we’ve been very successful with Hair Regeneration in helping people who won’t take the drug, or cannot take the drug.
Hi Shafi Barak, Thank you for watching! Surgery is not needed for dark circles, which can be treated with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and perhaps and laser or radiofrequency device, depending on your skin color and skin type. Hollowness can be treated non-surgically as well with filler, and in some cases tear trough implants. You can watch these videos about them: https://youtu.be/QBvjjvxPt2g https://youtu.be/VzzsbNDlaHQ
okay thank you doc.
Hello Pinaki. Sorry but our clinics are currently only located in New York.
Hi Silpa S Nath, If you have a burn, it is important to protect the skin with a topical ointment first, and then see a doctor if aren't already for a proper examination, diagnosis, and possible further steps for treatment. I hope this helps you.
Women are prone to hair loss due to hormonal fluctuations, such as childbirth, changes of birth control, or other issues. It is important to have the causes of hair loss diagnosed before considering treatment. I hope this helps you
Hi Silpa S Nath, Sorry to hear about your problem. We can help you, but would need to diagnose first that you have female pattern hair loss as opposed to another cause of hair loss such as temporary hair shedding. You can contact us through www.nyhairloss.com, www.prasadcosmeticsurgery.com, or www.trichostem.com by filling out a contact form, and we can start arranging an appointment for you. I hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Josh Soriano, It's normal to shed 50-100 hairs a day, and the hair does grow back. If it's more than that, you do need to see a doctor about diagnosing the cause. Pattern hair loss is gradual hair thinning, not shedding. If your hair shedding is excessive and causing bald spots, it can be due to stress, or something else, but that needs to be determined through a physical exam and workup. I hope this helps you.
Hi noopur monga, We only do in-person consultations at our Manhattan, Garden City, and Virginia offices. A one-on-one video consultation through Skype can be arranged by contacting us at our offices or through our websites. I hope this helps you.
Hi muhammad asif, If your eyes are puffy all the time, they are caused by fat under the eyes. If they are slightly puffy, they can be camouflaged by cosmetic filler. If the puffiness is more pronounced, they will need surgical sculpting and removal. I suggest you seek a cosmetic surgeon experienced in eyelid surgery in Pakistan, preferably someone who performs transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty as this method for eye bag removal looks more natural, and also avoids potential complications associated with lower eyelid surgery. I hope this helps you.
