Positive: Pros about this hotel: Steady low price of $--- a night and it is within walking distance of pretty much anything on Route 66. Close to restaurants, shops, museum¿s and the canyon coaster. Also very quiet. This place is the lowest priced hotel on Negative: Cons about this place: Bathroom is a little outdated & isn¿t the cleanest. The shower head spits water. The bedding is outdated & itchy. The AC unit attached to the room should be maintenanced & cleaned regularly from bacteria build up.

What is the American regacy? Shower was broken and not fixed. Services were bad. I recommend that you should stay in the car instead of staying here.

We didn’t even stay because there were blood and urine stains on the bed sheets, and there were dead worms lying in the bathroom. Our first clue should’ve been the ravens in the parking lot scavenging over the trash scattered in front of the ice room. Would definitely not recommend!

Unorganized and unsafe. I'm sure there's worse places but this has been my worst experience personally. For starters, I don't think they always collect key cards or change door lock readers between guests. I booked two nights here. On the way there they said they were trying to call me because the room I booked was now under maintenance. I never got a call, email, or a voicemail. They moved me to an upgraded room free of charge. However, maybe 30 minutes after bringing my stuff in, I'm startled by 3 people trying to open the door to my room. Mind you it's about 10pm and I'm alone. After looking out the window later I found out it was a family of 3 who'd booked my room and I was probably given their room by accident. Simple mistake I guess, but that's one of 3 major issues. 2) I left my wallet in my room after I'd left for the day. When I came back, room service had returned it to the desk but the $40 left with it was not found (of course). Was a little frustrated, but blamed myself. 3) The last straw was when I returned the evening of my 2nd night to find a couple already in my room. Apparently the person who returned my wallet told the front desk I'd checked out even though I still had my key card (and it still worked!) They reimbursed me, but I pretty much had nowhere else to stay for the night. I got so frustrated I just said forget it and drove 3 hours home even though it was late. They still never asked for the key card back. I still have it and I'm sure it still works
