Edit 9/12/22 mechanical issue resolved, benches installed and working on building bait shop. One lake is completely dried up but the others have been restored. Not many fish to be caught in our experience but a beautiful place. This historic landmark is in dire need of help. Benches and buildings removed but there are concrete slabs poured, hopefully to replace seating but we Heard from several people vandals broke the filter/water pipe and there aren't funds to repair. Now the ponds are just evaporating, fish that are left are in slowly disappearing water. One pond is just mud. This place was beautiful and needs to be restored asap. Losing this gem would be sad for humans and nature alike.

Questions & Answers

What should I use for bait

A lot of things! There are bass, bluegill and catfish all year. I have used rubber worms often, catfish will bite a wide variety of bait. Including kraft american cheese and bread, believe it or not. The bait shop is open in the earlier part of the day. You currently cannot go inside but there is an outdoor counter. They have live bait among other things. Even snacks sometimes. The bluegill seem very smart as far as not going after anything.

Can you keep fish?

You may keep the fish you catch. We ask that you follow the state fishing limits.
