I'm leaving this review as a teacher who took kindergarten students here! The forest preserve provided an hour long guided tour that explored the forest through the senses, and it was excellent! The students really enjoyed the visit, and we were also allowed an hour to explore some of the shorter trails. We even saw a raccoon in a tree (which is all the students talked about!) There are only rough bathroom facilities, but we still enjoyed a beautiful fall day here!

15 Acre dog park. Enough space to be social with others/ other dogs. But also enough space to spread out and relax if that's what you like.

I dont see why you wouldn't. Be able to as long as they have a designated fire ring
