I called 5minutes before arriving to this CFCS Currency exchange located on 801 e 75 st Chicago IL 60619 and spoke to Yvonne to confirm if my check can be cash there and she told me yes once I can verify all of the information is correct. When I arrived at 10:30am I was given service from Tretta who was on a phone call with her ear pods and strolling on social media before she called me to her station. I then told her “I would like to cash a check” and rudely interrupted she started to question me with a very angry tone for no reason, that made me extremely uncomfortable as a customer. I complied because I wanted my check cashed and to get out , she then hung up from her personal phone call and called her boss Tom who was walking her through the process of cashing my check over the phone, everything they ask me for I was able to provide only to be told 40 minutes later they’re unable to verify the check until Monday however they can give me a thousand dollars then I can receive a call on Monday no later than 4pm to pick up once it’s cleared by the bank. I was hesitant at first because I thought that was the reason I waited over 40 minutes, I figured I’ve waited this long let me go through the process and see what happens. So an additional 15 minutes has pass and it’s 11:25am, I am waited to be told what’s next only to find out Tretta processed the transaction and charge me 521.35 without my consent or letting me know what will be the fees towards the check they’re attempting to clear. I left the 1,000 funds, the receipt that I have a picture of and they refused to return my check, Tretta then left me for Yvonne to resolved her mistakes, she called Tom only to tell me I must return Monday and he will try to give me a discount on the fee. This is not my wrong doing as a customer, the employee should have given better service and be more focus on customer service which is non-existent at this location. I called corporate and I am willing to take legal action if I do not get my funds return with no charges. Do not come to this location.

Very rude individuals.. I just recently came in which I am always at this currency exchange since I’ve moved over here in 2011… I came in there last week to cash a child support check and the young lady was so rude going back and forward with me because I didn’t tear my stub off the paper.. and said we don’t tear stubs off we only cash it with an attitude.. I told her ma’am u really don’t have to talk to me rude and she got very offensive and start cursing telling me how long she’s been around in that area which didn’t mean anything to me.. it just shows every employee in there needs a reality check .. they all are rude and disrespectful and don’t know how to talk to no customers.. this is not my first horrible encounter nor third so it’s time I go elsewhere

I call 5:45pm to ask do they notarized. The lady yes . Yes she did answer the question but she could have said the person that do it is gone for today. My son gets up there to get paperwork notarized they said the person is gone for today.

It's August 2nd, 2021 and with six(6) windows but only one open, there's one young lady here working trying to accommodate a very long line and answer the phones which is causing very long wait times and much stress for the several elderly men and women standing in line waiting to do business.
