terrible absolute terrible piece of work capote is so disrespectful he was summoned to our house today and my mother was outside waiting for him to pick up this stray and she watched him pull in and drive off didn’t even give her a chance to come bring the stray idiot reception said “ oh he’s only one and we have other calls he can’t turn back either you can call in the morning and we’ll come get her,you could keep the dog,or you can just let her out and wish her good luck” now that is word for word believe me i don’t put it past tulare animal control to not do there job but for countless years we’ve had issues with capote constantly serving INJUSTICES to many in tulare not just my family we asked to have another officer sent because we know that he’s not gonna get anything done

Tulare Ca Animal Control is not SPCA. They do not respond as they should. They pick and choose, and often recite no time, resources, or officers to respond. Cats/Kittens are always considered free roaming regardless of circumstance, unless dead or dying no one will respond. I called about a large dog that was being kept in a too small of cage, too long, too often for the dogs size, NO RESPONSE. I am unable to intervene. I see the dog occasionaly being taken outside, its painful appearance says it all, painful to see too. Id keep calling but they always send out the same rude jerk of an officer that makes his time more valuable to waist. SMH I see I am not the only one who has tried to deal with that officer. Sad & Disgusted

Great experience with helping a stray dog found at Target. Officer Capote arrived shortly after putting in the call, was polite and professional, and most importantly was patient and good to the dog. Informed us the dog would be put into rescue if not adopted.

$235 stated on their website page, to adopt a dog no matter small or large sized. This covers costs of vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter. Shelters do not allow animals to be treated by prospective individual's veterinarian even if one offers to pay for the costs out of pocket. :(
They are a no kill shelter. They do everything they can to find the owners then get the animals out to rescue to be adopted.
Yeah because they are gonna fix and probably chip her for the new owners.
They chip dogs there
Just give them a call
