First time here. I brought my dad and nephew. Prices are reasonable. I like that you can rent a calibur for $15 and use any pistol you want from the selection. However you have to buy/use their ammo. The lobby and range were well kept and clean. The staff is friendly but very stern when it comes to mistakes, because safety is the #1 priority (obviously.) Overall great experience and I will definitely come back again.

Took my personal firearms and they made my visit very welcoming. Staff is knowledgeable and safety is paramount. I recommend you fill out your waver electronically on their site to speed up your wait. Only downside is I did bring my shotgun and AR but wasn’t able to shoot them since they have lanes for members only. They had all my ammo needs (10mm/9mm/.45acp).

Thank you all for being so kind and helpful when my family and I visited yesterday for out tuition with Greg and use of the range thereafter. What a friendly, safe and inviting place! Would highly recommend!

For years I've been going to The Range in Fresno where their Customer Service is top notch. But I live in Hanford so I wanted to find a place that is closer to home. The first time I went to The Firing Line an older Gentleman was at the counter. He was very friendly and very helpful. He treated me like a valued customer should be treated. A few days later I brought my wife and sister to shoot and behind the counter was a bearded young man with thick brown hair. He treated us quite the opposite of how I was treated the first time. I could feel by his demeanor that he was trying to intimidate me for some unknown reason. He never greeted us but just stared at me until I said something to him. I told him we wanted to shoot and that I had my pistols in my bag. I place my gun bag on the counter in front of him so he could check my pistol. After unzipping my bag I reached for my unloaded pistol with the slide locked to to the rear and he immediately grabbed my hand pushing my hand in the bag and told me that wasn't necessary . I was only doing what I've been doing for years in all the ranges I've been to. I qualify quarterly to be able to carry as a Peace Officer. He didn't apologize and kept staring at me. I then told him that " I didn't mean to make him nervous".I was friendly and courteous from the moment I walked thru that door. He on the other hand was the opposite. I've left detailed review of my experience with The Firing Line explaining the 1 star Rating after this incident. That was the last time I went there. Note to the Owner Of The Firing Line. Maybe you should stop hiring "Boys" that can carry a gun. Also, this same young man was working with the older Gentleman the first time I was there. Response: Obviously you're offended by my review. My review is my experience with the Firing Line not intended to offend anyone . If you''re offended by the word "Boys" then maybe you should look at the "Body" of the Review not words that offend you and learn from that.

Memberships are required to shoot centerfire small-bore rifles. Rimfire rifles (22lr, 22wmr, 17hmr, etc.) do not require a membership. These, and more questions, can be answered via our website at www.thefiringlineclovis.com
We would prefer 3, or less, shooters per lane. There can be more shooters sharing a firearm, but they will need to keep several feet distance behind the person handling the firearm at any given time.
Yes we are. Most of our staff are certified RSO’s. You can do that any day we are open without making an appointment. Please remember to bring a qualification card for us to sign you off with.
30-30, 7.62x39, 300BLK, 5.56x45, .223
No membership required to come and shoot pistols any day we are open. Centerfire rifles require a membership.
We have concealed weapons permit courses, and "learn to shoot" handgun courses. Beyond that, we do not offer any marksman style courses. Please contact our shop if you would like to setup an appointment with a private instructor that we can refer you to, and he can meet with you here and offer these types of services.
Saturdays are our busiest days, but you should not have to wait for a lane to open up. We offer your first target, complimentary. Additional targets are $1.00 each. You are welcome to bring in your own. We also suggest bringing in your own eye and ear protection, if you have it. For additional information, please visit the website, or give the shop a call at 294-9400, Monday-Saturday, 10:00am - 7:00pm.
Can you please ask a question so that we can offer a response...
We do not allow any shotguns to be fired at our indoor facility. You must find an outdoor place that can accomodate that. Sorry.
The law requires anyone buying, or renting firearms to be 21. We will not rent to a 19 year old.
Everyone shooting on our range must have non-expired, government-issued photo ID present at that time.
As of typing this, yes. Please contact the store directly for any further assistance or questions. 559-294-9400
No, you do not. You must have another person with you, or a firearm of your own with you though, when you come in to use ours.
It can be paid with one or the other, or split-up between both. No problem with any of these options.
Our cutoff time to be in the store and shoot that day/evening, is always 40 minutes before posted closing hours for that day.
That is fine. Our concern is over an exposed firearm, not how how the owner should be legally transporting it. If that revolver is in a bag/case/concealed and locked as described, we are 100% okay with that...and it would be good for legality purposes as well.
We allow all types of ammo that are non-magnetic (zero steel is allowed).
12-17 with a parent or legal guardian
$20 per shooter (first target, eye pro, and ear pro included), $10 for a firearm rental (as many guns in that caliber selection as you’d like to shoot), plus the ammunition cost (price varies by caliber).
Our CCW information can be found on our website at www.thefiringlineclovis.com. We sell and rent firearms at our shop.
We do not allow shotguns to be fired at our indoor range. Sorry.
No. It is a rifle and pistol only area.
We only require the names of the other individuals. We do not need every member to show up together, but that does make it easier. We require full payment at time of startup, and a completed range waiver done within 30 days of membership activation. If this is a corporate membership, then each member will need to bring something to verify employment (paystub, employee badge, business card, etc.).
Your guess is 100% correct. The Family membership is limited at only 4 members. The Company membership mirrors the Family in details, but allows for additional employees to be added at only $150.00 each. EVERYONE's membership runs on the same start/stop date, regardless of when the member activates their personal membership card.
The 8 passes are divided among the 4 members. Each member would still have the option of sharing their lane with one guest per day, on each day, without the use of the daily guest passes. Those are extra.
Thank you for your inquiry. Our range fees are $20.00 per person for an entire days visit. That also includes your eye and ear protection. If you choose to rent a firearm, it is an additional $10.00 plus the ammunition cost (price varies by caliber). Please feel free to reach out to our staff via telephone at 559-294-9400, during our regular operating hours. Thank you!
As long as he has an adult present and isn't part of a restricted class ( mental health issues, felon, etc.) 🙄
Yes, both pistol and rifle.
I would recommend another firing range. Not veteran friendly. I.e. does not support military veterans.
Shooters under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Minimum shooting age is 12 years old.
