This is a great place to fish for redfish, crawfish & crab. If I remember correctly the limit on crab is a 5 gallon bucket. There are a ton of redfish.

It's always open as far as I know. When you launch and go down the canal, be careful when you come out into West Cove, there are a LOT of crab traps at the mouth......a LOT.
