Great brunch/lunch place.. always busy, but the wait is never more then 10 minutes. Unlike some restaurants they give you 2 glasses with your bottomless mimosa, at uptown you get 4. Great environment, customer service is always A1. Food is always amazing.

First if you haven’t been here don’t think twice. You must go. The food was so good haven’t had food that so fresh and favorable as this place. The service was excellent. I do suggest going early on the weekend. This place is good and people know it. So it’s a crowded at times. If I could would give this place 10 stars. And I will be back once I travel into Jacksonville again.

Visiting Jacksonville and found this place online. While sitting at the bar I heard someone say that they had a new chef at the restaurant and that the food was much better than before. I can say that it didn’t disappoint. The service was also good. I had the fried catfish and grits. Only I would add is more of the sauce they put on top, but the bartender brought me extra. I went during the week so I didn’t wait and there was plenty of street parking. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

First time visiting this restaurant and it won't be my last. The food is AMAZING! I ordered the chef special omelet with a side of gouda grits and a biscuit. The grits were the best that I've had in my entire life, even better than my mothers. The chef special omelet contained lobster, shrimp, onion and cherry tomatoes topped with a remoulade sauce. I wouldn't have imagined those flavors pairing well together but it was an explosion of flavor. The chef is a New Orleans native and was visiting the tables speaking with the patrons making sure they were satisfied and the food was to their liking. This is what I call customer service. I am recommending this place to everyone. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Yes, food is fire! I had something that was vegan (Don't exactly remember, day drinking), but I do remember that I want to go back because of how good the good is. My wife goes a lot, she eats animals and loves the food, too!
Not sure however on my visit the employees seem to be understaffed an attitudes which then made food that potentially was great just okay an given my father who I attended the spot with being a stand up man still generously tipped the Male waiter who at that time (end of meal) demeanor changed as he finally asked us did we need anything else as through our meal we had to get others to get his attention an the wait was ridiculous for him to approach our table as he came an forgot the plastic silverware I requested waited few more minutes to begin to eat my food it was definitely disappointing an me an father agreed we wont return. Hopefully this turns around soon as I've heard it was a really good place to eat outside of my experience.
When I came their, everyone was outside smoking. Left because the menu was very limited and expensive.
Get there early and be prepared to wait! Staff did an ok job. They were very overwhelmed and you can only do so much when it's slammed. Food was good and atmosphere was ok. I would still go back, it'll just be when I have the morning off just to talk and enjoy a morning off.

Hi Keta We take numerous take out orders every day. Early in the morning we do only have one server so a hold may be necessary as we take care of the customers inside the restaurant first. We hope you continue to order or visit us and we are available on Grubhub and Uber Eats as well.
The food at Uptown kitchen is very good! The service is usually great and the restaurant is very clean!
Lots of NON Vegan items on the menu.
