A wonderful place to walk by the river. Sadly the fountains were under construction when we went with my mom while she was in from out of town and no notifications or anything were posted about it being down that's y the low rating. Other than that it's beautiful and good for walking exercises.

What all the positive reviews are on here for? We were in this area yesterday the fountain was fenced in and the fountain It's shut down. Construction everywhere roads closed, restaurant was closed The view of downtown was good but not worth going if you want to see the fountain.

Hi, there are not restrooms at the fountain however there are many stores near the fountain you can use. GooGle@LOU2U2
Placing locks with people's names on them is a common practice where couples do it as an activity. Simular to how generations ago people would carve their initials into a tree. A better example would be on the North River Walk on the covered pedestrian bridge near Corkscrew Park.
As of 1/8/22 it's still under reconstruction and the fountain is still fenced off. The Riverwalk can still be reached though.
While it is true that the fountain is accessable year round and can be viewed 24 hours a day, at the moment it is currently being remodeled. The improvement is expected to last for 2 years.
Free parking at Mosh. Parking on the backside of the building.
Metropolitan Park, on the opposite down across from TIAA Bank Field
There is plenty of parking close and about the fountain, depending on where u park would be the distance u'll have to walk.
They were on but very dim when I was there 2 weeks ago. The fountain was on very low as well. Still pretty though. Not sure if they are on now.
I can't remember if the fountain is on or not I have not been down there in a while I would call the city or the county and find out because I know sometimes when I used to live in Jacksonville they do preserved water but it should be on when you go back and visit. Happy sightseeing
The lights are on usually when it gets dark. Not sure if they are on all winter long.
Sunset
It was working on Friday afternoon.. you should give it a try.. if not working, at least you will get the best view of jacksonville downtown from there..
Like others said, you need to get a permit from the city which is pretty inexpensive. I did the same thing for my wedding at Treaty Oak. Worked out great
Hi there. Hope this helps. The park was named by the rotary club members & dallas thompson. It was later renamed & approved by the Beautiful city of Jacksonville, F.L. in 1968. I am on Google/LOU2U2
Make sure you take advantage of the riverwalk if you have the time. All free and great for kids. We have had multiple manatees swim right up to the boardwalk. Also its always fun to walk over the main st bridge to the landing.
There is pay parking right beside Landing and if you go downtown after 6 parking is free everywhere
