They have many services for the ones who are in need...however, don't expect every staff member to be friendly. They hate they're lives and will not be afraid to show you
Mel Lag (Mel Ren)
Called to see if they could help me but you have to be legit homeless like on the street the time of asking for help and even then there’s a waiting list and it doesn’t go by the order you’re out on. She said it depends your insurance and things that qualify you more. So basically if you have more money you’ll get a spot first. I was very homeless but by the grace of god had a friend that helped me for a couple weeks so at the time of reaching out, I had a roof over my head but not permanently and they basically turned their heads and just gave me a number that might be able to help me.

Missed the call to hear some results of my bloodwork. Called daily for over a week,no one will answer 99 percent of the time in medical. Left multiple messages no one will return my call. Finally today got ahold of someone around 420 They close at 430 so I figure thats the reason the lady acted like she couldn't hear me and literally hung up . I never imagined the service would be this terrible.

Doctors and nurses at the downtown office were all very nice and professional. They really seam to care. They called me back earlier then they said about my blood work, pleaded with patients to come back, and begged others to get specific work done free of charge. The only reason I gave 3 stars was because of the 2 woman at the reception desk they were rude with just about everyone that came in, were unwelcoming (I never heard them say hello 1 time), but saw them laughing at patients. I don't see how management can not see the attitude these 2 girls had (it was like something out of a sitcom). The 2 of them should be fired and be replaced by friendly receptionists who care and give a worming welcome. But no one else would ever hire them if they did.

What is the phone number to the shelter
Yes seek a case worker to give you homeless letter and use letter for services
They offer shelter and health services!
There is usually a list depending on if beds are avail. If you happened to be a veteran you can get in much quicker.
My advice to you , would be to (go to the official website)) or to go to their facility behind the (Jacksonville Sheriff's Office ),in Downtown Jacksonville.
Not sure sweetie, but you never know! And that's just being honest.
You do get your own room but its 1st come 1st serve type of thing. When I took a girl they wouldn't accept her & her child. Try Hubbard house if it's a domestic situation
Yes they do
Usually u can show up on Mondays and Wednesdays I believe but u have to be there early like at 6 in the morning and wait for them to open the doors at 7:30 and make sure if u have paycheck stubs to have 4 of them with u proof of address if u have insurance have that info and if u are homeless have a letter notarized stating that u are homeless and our id and social security card so then all u have to do is fill out the paper work right then and chances are u will see a doctor then or they will schedule an appointment for you
They open at 6 am and lunch for non residents is at 12:30 dinner at 6:30
I went there to have a tooth extracted but they didn't tell me that it was on first come first serve. Get their earlier they open door at 7;00 but of course nobody starts works before 8 and if you are there for elibity tell them that because will either see you that day or you have to come back. Now make sure you tell them that you are in pain and need emergency services. Maybe tell her emergency first. I'm not sure about your insurance plan but as long as it doesn't have dental insurance on it you probably can get their services. I finally got rid of my insurance plan now I going back to see what they say but I had to pay $60 so make sure you have that. I'm sorry I rambling but I half sleep. Be bless and questions write me also they don't pull but one tooth at a time dumb but that"s what they do. You will have to come back
I know they provide shelter for homeless or displaced persons. Additionally, depending on your circumstances they have programs to assist homeless persons with housing. There a wonderful organization that helps people with practically any need they may arise. Good Luck & God Bless.
Yeah u go to the women's center..you need ID etc to verify who u are and a tb card I believe
I work there and I see plenty of women there during the day getting breakfast lunch and dinner. However, there is no shelter there for women or families. You need to go to the Village for that.
No resale,
Books are always welcomed especially for young readers
Go to the health centre for a TB test.
I dont know about the south. ,but there are agencies that will help you om the north side
Yes
Go down to the main office and talk to one of the counselors is right off of Forsyth Street
Yes it is a homeless shelter. They offer Dentistry medical help psychological help. Testing for AIDS. They also serve food. Each person's time is based on that person
Lunch is from 12:00 to 1:00. Supper is from 6:00 to 7:00.
Ill ask around to see if anyone know him but all I can do is tell love ones want him to contact them asap..
Yes, I met some nice and helpful people that lived there. We can all become homeless in the blink of an eye. Inflation is no joke.
Urban rest stop at sulzbacher can give u a letter to get it
I believe it's the desk is open then you can check your mail
In order to stay at the salzbacher center you need a tuberculosis card from the local health department you also have to be able to pass the covid screening plus there's the wait list which I am not sure how long it is at this time then there's also a curfew and if you're wanting to stay in your own private room which are upstairs they are $150 a month $250 a month and $350 a month each one comes with its own perks while you were there they give you a tour that you have to do otherwise you get written up and potentially kicked out if you have too many make sure you inform employees there of your work schedule in case you're going to be out past curfew for their place dinner for residents is at 6:00 lunches at noon breakfast is at 7:00 for residents showers are mandatory everyday laundry is once a week you'll drop it off on your laundry day and they will do your laundry for you or you may do your own laundry off property unless they have changed this rule since I lived there
The center in downtown Jacksonville FL no longer houses females or children, they are at another location. (Fyi) I didn't learn that until recent so I thought I'd share...
Yes
11 am and 5 pm
The men stay in one location and women and children stay in other location , but y'all can see eachother every day . The men is on Adams Street and the women are on 44 th St.
If it's an emergency I think its 25 if not it's cheaper but you have to be o. The list and have no I repeat no income....... so when you go you have what?no income
Well u really can't stay at all it a hell of a process to get n that place and a waiting list I really don't recommend that place for u brah or no one
Is you a male or female that's all you give me the information I can find out some more details
I really dont know but you need to go there not call. Calling may delay your help.
They should be able to direct you to available resources if available. They are connected with most social services.
Yes
Yes
It is a homeless shelter. But they have medical eyes dental and behavioral health services to any one through a application process. And you pay by your income. They have really helped me through a lot of things cuz I have no insurance.
In some cases
Not in the beginning of your stay!
Its right beside jail.
Woman's showers I believe is about 10 or 11 sign up about 8 . they will then call names. I'm not sure about exact times
Yes. Or they have people you can talk to with that have all the information you need. They're really helpful
Basically a I.D
You will have to call the center to ask.
It's still a shelter you have to go on Friday till out the application. Go back every Tuesday to see if they will call your name for the TB test and then they will send you to medical. There's a waiting list to get in the shelter. Other than that they feed lunch at 12 and provide medical attention such as dental and mental health services.
From 12 noon til 1:00 pm
Programs & licence, yes... bus station is not too far but in the downtown area.
Women and children stay at a different location. All males can stay at 611 E Adams St
If they are a therapy animal or service animal, yes.
Call into Sulzbacher and ask for the housing representative
I have no ideas, sorry.
The Sulsbocker I'm in us a men's shelter, the woman's shelter is further down on like 48th St.
Hubbard house is what your looking for that helps you in this situation.
At sulzbachers, you need a Florida i.d. SS card and you need proof you lived in Duval county for the last 6 months. And tb card
It is a sliding scale off your income plus you have to have two forms of I.d. and pay stub if working. Also a letter of residence. Then setup a appointment.
Yes anytime . if youd like for the people to have anything simply pull down at fromt street entrance where the people will be outside. Just start giving what you like for them to have. Babies.mothers.father s will always be out.you dont even have to pull in the gate.
You fill out an application and they will tell you what to do next.
Any donations are always welcome. Understand the downtown campus is for men now and our new women's center is on the other side of town. You can come by the downtown by the jail I am certain people would really appreciate it.
12 pm
Ok,is there a way we can get housing that will go by his income? That's all we have and I don't qualify for disability though I don't work under Drs.care.
I'm homeless and I don't have a job at the moment and I will like to see if I can get assistance with my issue I want to change my life around please let me know if you are able to help me with that and a few other things (as far as self programs )
The closest bus stop is Harvey's supermarket then you have to walk 9 blocks.
Unfortunately i don't have the number to the kitchen...I'm sorry.
No
Hours of operation have changed and also medicine dispersal time has changed too.
The program is based on income you have to show proof of income and they will take it from there
Cindy Funkhouser is the current President/CEO. It is my understanding that the different sites have different Directors.
Walk ins best to be there at early like about 4:30 - 5:00am line up and wait til 7-8 that's when they open the reason so early so can get seen Early 🐦 gets the worm
I was told that Maxwell House ( accros da st.) Allows you to park there free
It's open to the public anyone can go there. The staff is very friendly and can help you with whatever problem you may have. If you're there to help they will point you in the right direction.
Just find time and go there. Someone will give you information about volunteering.

They will have you stay in the shelter, but they will help.

I'm looking for a mother who cleans house for me. Her cell number was 482-7246 until someone on the street, like she was at the time, stole it from her. Presently I cannot contact her but know she was hoping to get into the Sulzbacher home for the required time beginning before or after 5/15/18. Her baby daddy is named Kevin. Can you have her try to contact me? You have my email.
You will need to be eligible under the welfare statue for treatment. Check with Sulzbacher front desk.
