Will charge a large fee to come out and diagnose HVAC problem but then will arrive at your home and tell you they are not able to cut into drywall and thus not able to locate the problem and fix. Contact this company if you want to be charged $90 for nothing.

This company was great from the initial quote through the installation. However, everything quickly went off the rails after that. It was a big job that included a new unit, new thermostats, some duct work, zoning systems, etc. All of this came out to about $20k. Install was 6/17/22 and took about 11 hours. The guys who did the install (who were great, for what it’s worth, and the only reason this place is getting 2 stars) said they were missing a part for one of my zones and couldn’t get it that day because the supply place was closed. He assured me someone would contact me Monday or Tuesday the following week to set up a time for them to come install it. By 6/27, ten days later, I hadn’t heard from anyone so I called to check on it. Shelly informed me that they were still waiting on the part to come in and said I’d hear from her by that Wednesday. Not surprisingly, I heard nothing. The next couple of weeks included a holiday and a family vacation, so I didn’t reach out to them again until 7/18, after I had returned home. On that call, Shelly told me the part “just came in,” which I suspect is code for “we forgot about you.” We set an appointment for 7/22 from 8-10am. On 7/21, I received a text message confirming my appointment for the next day between 2-4pm. I was annoyed because that is not the time we set it for, but fine. On 7/22, at about 3:00pm, Shelly called to let us know they weren’t coming at all. I decided, at that point, I’d been duped by these people. They called at 7:40 in the morning Monday to try and “get us taken care of first thing” but I’m done having my time wasted. I don’t count well over a month later as “first thing” and they sure weren’t concerned with “getting us taken care of” in the month+ that had passed since they said they would be back. Basically, once they get your money, you’re on your own. If you use these people, get every single thing that you pay for the day they do the work because, no matter what they say, they won’t be back.

How can I measure my HVAC efficiency?

Blue Water Climate Control | May 28, 2022
Blue Water Climate Control | May 28, 2022

There are a lot of factors that determine the HVAC efficiency. These include the type of heating and cooling system, insulation, and how tight your home is built. It also depends on how you use your HVAC system. To measure an HVAC system’s efficiency, you can use a few different methods. The first method to measure your HVAC efficiency is to use an infrared thermometer to see where the heat is being lost in your home. The second method is to get a hold of the SEER rating for your specific model and compare it with other models in its class. The third method is to calculate how much energy you are using per square foot of living space.

What are the most common types of HVAC systems?

What is the definition of HVAC efficiency?

Blue Water Climate Control | May 28, 2022
Blue Water Climate Control | May 28, 2022

The definition of HVAC efficiency is the ratio of the total energy that an HVAC system produces to the total energy that it consumes. This definition is important for two reasons. First, HVAC systems are responsible for about one-third of the world's electricity consumption. Second, as a result, improving HVAC efficiency can help reduce CO2 emissions and save money on energy bills.

I heard something about a Free Furnace. How does that work?

Jeremy James | Oct 25, 2020
Jeremy James | Oct 25, 2020

Every Fall and Winter, we give away a predetermined number of furnaces or air handlers with complete system installs. It’s not overly complicated. We would come out and give you a free estimate and then simply remove the price of the furnace or air handler. Customers have saved up to $1000. That promotion usually starts October 1st and runs through February 15th or until we have given them all away.

How much to add refrigerant?

Jeremy James | Oct 25, 2020
Jeremy James | Oct 25, 2020

Refrigerant price varies depending on the type and amount needed. We recommend scheduling an appointment to allow a technician to verify the type and identify the amount needed. However, we consider adding refrigerant a temporary repair. It would be the cost of the repair plus the price of the refrigerant.

Do you charge for estimates or quotes?

Jeremy James | Oct 25, 2020
Jeremy James | Oct 25, 2020

There is no charge for an installation quote. Quotes for a repair would be a diagnostic. There is no diagnostic fee with repair. If for some reason you chose not to get the repair, there would be $75 diagnostic fee.
