My daughter and I went to Sugarlands last Saturday and had an amazing experience. Everyone was super nice and the horses were incredibly gentle. The lady taking pictures, the guy that helped us off and on our horses, and our trail guide were all friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Gatlinburg.

Nice rides in the smokey mountains, great tour guides ,very enjoyable for people of all ages, we did the 1 hour ride which was adequate, very scenic.

Most of the stables charge about 26 per person, all of them have weight limits per rider as well. I think the weight limit for Sugarland is 225 and they will put you on a scale. I prefer the stables at Cades cove.
$70 per person. You won't regret it! Awesome time!
Yes they close Nov 27th
Don't come here you'll be constantly yelled at to hurry up even though the guy likes to go ahead
No, the wranglers pick the horse for you.
If I remember correctly the 5 and 6 year old can ride their own horse but the 4 year old will double up with an adult.
I don't believe you can there. There are other horse riding places where you can bring your own horse.
We rode this morning. We signed up at 9 and were on a horse by 9:30.
Yes they are open week days
Yes, but you need to call ahead
These horses are trained for this. They are fine.
Open: Fall schedule is September 1st through Thanksgiving. Closed December-March 14th.
Yes as long it's not heavy rain at 100%. If its 60% percent and less they will operate. Heavy rain they will wait till it slows down enough toward clearing. If your on the trail they wont stop , you continue to finish if it does pour heavy. All other rules still apply.
Previous answer is correct, the horse back ride go thru dirt, rocky and muddy terrain. They go up the mountain and back down again. Riding is not a problem as long you can balance yourself and hold on.
Nobut they get really busy. So plan on getting there 45 minutes to an hour before you want to go.
I would say they would let him/her ride with you. Don't know that for sure though. Call the stables and ask. They are very friendly folks to chat with.
The staff were terrific!! I'm sure if you explained the significance of the ride they would accommodate you. What a great idea!! Wait until you get to the top of the mountain!! The views are spectacular! I'll bet the guide would even video it for you if you provide a camera. Good luck and congrats in advance!! Please post how it goes!
The weight limit is 225. They don't allow double riders either.
The rates are the same for everyone regardless of age. They charge by the length of time you want to ride. Anywhere from 1 hour to 4 hours.
Maybe, call the stable they would be about to answer.
The website mentions length of time for the tours. You'd have to call about the unguided tour but I would doubt you would be able. To to much liability for the stables. It makes a great date activity.
I think we paid $65 but it was summer time
I think are closed because of the off season. I do recommend going here in season. Great place to ride and great horses, people, and trails.
Ours was about 1.5 hours if I remember correctly. My whole family really enjoyed it.
As far as I know they will be but not till March. Really good ride but not for beginners.
Reasonably far hourly rates...
