It was super busy. Line was all the way out to 113. It only took an hour and 15 min from the time I got there until I was on my way home. All in all still way better then it used to be in the old building. Just make it an early morning task and not at noon!

Usually pretty quick. This last time I was in and out in 9 minutes. It's not always this quick of course but usually it seems to be a lot faster than it used to be

I would not have anticipated writing a review of DMV. I've lived in a lot of places and generally DMV is not a highlight. To my surprise as a new resident, this was a very good experience and very pleasant. I decided to do everything in the same day: vehicle registration from out of state, new driver's license. Wherever you live, you know that's a full day - and it was. Yet, going through the vehicle inspection was painless and quick. It could use a sign at the exit to *not* get into the drive in line if you're transferring registration from out of state. Still, the lady who helped me was very friendly and helpful. When we got inside, we were given very clear and really friendly information about the process. Everybody was just .. nice! What took me the longest was with my driver's license. Not because the young lady was anything except super - it's because I dropped my wallet with my social security card in the parking lot. I wasn't hopeful, but somebody turned it in at the front desk. I was able to get it back, and finish up my driver's license. I'll make this suggestion. Don't register your car first. Really bad idea. Read all the document you need, and get your driver's license first because you need a Delaware license to register your car. Then register your car. You can get the inspection as soon as you arrive, but driver's license first, then vehicle registration. Your day will be much smoother.

Wheat time does inspection lanes open
You don’t have to have insurance to run it through inspection but you do need it to get registered
You need a piece of mail showing your new address like a bill and your VA license.
All you need is your old one now days and they get you to sign the form right there in and out
Replacement drivers license
