I had the bockwurst & the bauerwurst. Both were delicious, as was the red cabbage. The sauerkraut could have used a little more bite though. All in all, a fantastic meal. We were seated quickly and our orders were served in short order.

I love Prost. The maple sciracha wings, the ham & gruyere sandwich and potato pancakes are divine. But mostly we go there because Neil is a hoot with a heart of gold⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

With my daughter going to Germany to study abroad, I decided to take her here to get a introduction and taste of what she could expect. It was fantastic, I’ve been here a couple times before and the restaurant never fails. Liz our server was excellent, she took the time to explain the various German offerings and stories about the restaurant. Very warm and inviting atmosphere, the restaurant was clean and the food was excellent.

Glad to have this place in Garden City. The German beer is as good as one can get in the US. That said, the menu selection is an only somewhat respectable American interpretation of traditional Bavarian food, with some dishes lacking and others with a bit of unnecessary inventive flair (and a premium price to boot). A 20-euro check for a better meal in Germany matches about $50-60 here. Yes, there are better German restaurants on the Island and in Queens. But it’s far better to have this place than not. Genuinely thankful for a well-run German pub in town. If you’re experienced in Bavarian food and are looking to reminisce, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re new to German food entirely, you’ll most likely enjoy your meal here. If you’re new to German beers but want to give it a go, try Weihenstephaner, Paulaner, and König Ludwig - all make a fine Weissbier. (Hofbräu, Spaten, Warsteiner, and Bitburger — avoid like the plague).
