This park is in the middle of a nice residential area, with an entrance easily missed. But once you walk into the park it starts to open up, with a nice lake, foot paths and stream. Very pet friendly, and most people using the park are outgoing and friendly also. Lots of fishing going on, but I have not experienced it first hand. Quiet, clean and well maintained. If you follow some trails you'll come across horseback riders, too.

Great fishing pond it has largemouth bass, bluegill , punkinseed , Golden shiners and brook trout I heard it also has chain pickerel ,bullhead catfish and brown and rainbow trout and yellow perch and more . It also has a like of fun hiking trails. It has no bathrooms. It's also good sightseeing as your will see ospreys . frogs and ducks and more your can also go horsebacking riding there also

Absolutely beautiful foliage at this time of the year. This hidden gem is between Belmont Lake State Park and Argyle Pond, so many people have missed it. This tiny little park is beautiful, dogs friendly and the trails are easy to walk. You may need to share the path with horses if you are luck to see one. Limited Parking spaces are on the south end of the park.

One of my go to spots to do all things outdoors like hike, walk, run, bike. Great trails. Flat. Beautiful outdoors. Fairly trafficked. Occasional horses.

Southards pond is part of the Belmont Lake State Park system. Belmont lake is to the north of Southards pond and the streams that feed the pond flow southward. If you continue south from Southards pond, you will eventually reach Argyle Lake in Babylon. All 3 lakes are connected by trails. Your best bet for maps are from NYS parks, of which Belmont Lake State Park is part of.
No, but if you ride up north on the trails a couple of miles you will hit Belmont lake state park, and the rest rooms were open there
Idk but if you search it on Google they will give you step by step directions
Park ave by the tennis courts or Segal Blvd entrance has street parking
