Food was okay, but had to ask for every extra little thing, including sauce to dip sushi in, used to have complimentary edamame on the tables, just feels like they've lost what made the place of special dining experience.

Appetizers are amazing. Smaller portion, so if you like calamari, order 2, worth it. BBQ shrimp appetizer is great too. Generous portion of miso. Tempura veggies are a must. Nigiri is a substantial piece as well. The rolls tasted amazing. Salmon crunch, rainbow.

Sakana was my first sushi experience in Salt Lake City. It was my favorite for a long time! With covid and inflation though, they've gone downhill in quality and service, along with everywhere else. But what can ya do? Still visit when I can! Love, love, love the monkey brains appetizer!!!

While it is generally unwise to order American food at an Asian restaurant, I have done so more times than a fool would care to admit. But finally, after 30 years of marriage to a foodie, I have tasted success. She had the sunset roll, and claims it was delicious. I ignored all the inconceivably terrible choices in my past, and ordered the BBQ ribs and fries. For the first time in a year, I finished every last fry on my plate. Absolute perfection in the fried potato category. Seriously, better than most American joints. Then I dove into the ribs. When I came up for air, the 6 were gone, I was stuffed, and so very satisfied. I've eaten some of the world's most acclaimed ribs, and these belong near the top of that chart. They are a bit different than your typical BBQ, but still so delectable. Anyway, I think this couple found a new favorite restaurant! Also, our server, Holly, was excellent. Zero complaints. See you soon.

Yes, we do have gluten free option for the sushi rolls and soy sauces
Regarding reservations... if I recall correctly, no they do not take reservations but I believe they'll accommodate call ahead.
It used to be the best. I think that it has gone down in the last couple of years. I still go there but it needs to reevaluate who they are.
Yes they offer take out, and you can use DoorDash for delivery as well.
They don't offer delivery, but Doordash (and maybe grubhub, dunno, didn't check) does if you're close enough.
They do have happy hour Mondays and Tuesdays. If you buy two rolls you get one free with the purchase of two drinks or an appetizer. It's a great deal!
