I have been taking private lessons with Jaime for a little over three months, and I'm astonished at how quickly I've progressed! With each class, I feel more and more confident in communicating in Spanish. The Hablemos curriculum is designed in a systematic, logical way that relies less on memorizing and more on understanding the structure of the language. I feel that I am being given the keys to comfortably understand and talk with Spanish speakers. If you are motivated and willing to put in the work, this is best program around! UPDATE: After 18 months of taking two one-hour lessons a week (with month-long summer and Christmas breaks and time off for various vacations), I recently traveled to Mexico City and was able to communicate confidently and effectively in Spanish! Just finished section 1 here at Hablamos and really enjoyed it. Classes are small enough that you can always get your questions answered. You cant beat the price when you break it down cost per hour. There book provides extra material to study on your own as well as audio CDs to learn the pronunciations and sounds. Had 1 private lesson as well and it was great to work on specifics and get expert help. I would highly recommend for all Spanish students of any level.

My wife and I are adult learners who had talked for years about learning a second language. After a brief stint with German via Rosetta Stone, we decided that we needed to learn something more practical in our day to day lives. Learning Spanish was the obvious decision. Less obvious was where to receive instruction. We had tried Rosetta Stone before and found it mostly ineffective. In person instruction seemed like our best option. After looking at online reviews, we decided to contact Hablemos Spanish Academy. We have been working with Jaime Pena of Hablemos for a little over a year now. It has been a productive and enjoyable experience. We opted for private instruction, though I believe the group classes are also excellent. The advantage of private lessons is more flexibility and self-pacing on the content. The instruction we've received has been excellent. I very much recommend Hablemos for anyone seriously interested in learning Spanish. The structure of the curriculum makes sense and the instruction is superb. While we have more work to put in before we approach fluency, I very much expect us to reach that goal at Hablemos.

This is an amazing language academy! I came with a basic knowledge and feel like I have learned so much more just in two classes of level 2. It is very affordable and Jaime (the founder and director) is amazing!
