If I could give Central Coast German Shepherds more than five stars, I would. The puppy we acquired from Julie is a few weeks away from turning a year old and he is everything we thought he would be and more. Julie’s dedication to the breed and her dogs is evident across every touchpoint, from her website to the multiple calls we had, our first zoom, and our first meeting where we met her and picked up our beautiful boy. Echoing other reviews, he was crate trained, slept through the night and already knew sit/down when we got him at 13 weeks. We saw first hand that Julie raised him under foot - he was accustomed to sounds from the vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, was used to the car and played with other dogs in addition to his litter mates. She breeds for the love of and devotion to the German Shepherd breed and ensures that there is a match between owner/ puppy and will be there for you after you take your puppy home for any questions you may have. We are regularly complimented on our boy for his show stopping good looks, how well behaved he is, his balanced demeanor and great personality. His intelligence and desire to work/train are off the charts. I recommend Central Coast German Shepherds without reservation and will be getting my next GSD from Julie.

Central Coast German Shepherds breeding program provides quality TRUE to breed in both Temperament and Health with litters from exceptional sound backgrounds. The experience from first email/text to the months of waiting to bring our pup home was nothing short of an impeccable customer/client experience. I received from Julie constant updates, immediate response to the million questions I had and notification of pup updates. Her knowledge and expertise with GSD’s helped place the right temperament and protection we were requesting to blend with our young daughter and lab. Any future additions or those who constantly inquire about our boy, I don’t hesitate to say Central Coast German Shepherds! You will NOT be disappointed.

The people are great. Wonderful Germsn Showlines. The dogs are raised humanly. All like family pets.

Our Alfie recently turned 6 months old and we wanted to commend Julie for her excellent breeding program at Central Coast German Shepherds. We are so happy that we decided to get our new puppy from CCGS. Julie's commitment to her puppies and care matching them to good homes really shows. Alfie came home with us when he was 11 weeks old, and was fully potty trained by 14 weeks. The rest of his training is coming along very nicely. Now at 6 months, he heels beautifully, and sits automatically when we stop at corners before crossing streets. He is "place trained", and his distance/duration is improving quite a bit on that. He learns new things extremely quickly - leave it, drop it, come, middle, army crawl, play dead, etc. His consistency on doing things once he knows what to do is sometimes hit and miss, but he is improving every day and doing quite well for still being a puppy! He is super intelligent and his breeding really shines through. He is growing into a very handsome boy, with a mischievous grin and personality which we love. He is well socialized and friendly in the neighborhood, where his impeccable manners are well appreciated! Thank you again to Julie and her family for raising such a wonderful puppy and letting us bring him into our home!

How much are german shepherd puppies

This is a great question and it has a few answers. German Shepherd puppies vary in price range. You can expect to pay $600-$1200 for backyard puppies. Commercial Breeders charge anywhere from $2,500 and up. Import Puppies typically range from $4500 and up. We have a great page on our website that talks about the differences in German Shepherd Dogs and Puppies that help explain the differences and why the prices are so different from different breeders. Here is the link: http://www.centralcoastgermanshepherds.com/german-vs-american.html This page may also help you identify what type of German Shepherd it is that you are looking for. Everything from health, temperament, German, American, backyard breeding, working lines, show lines, performances of lineage, health history and type of breeding which can include all different types of drives in the breed will also impact price that you may expect to pay for a German Shepherd Puppy.

Can I adopt a German Shepard puppy? How do I get started what am I looking for in a breeder? Thank you!

There are many different kinds of German Shepherds. To name a few, there are the American Lines, West German Show Lines, East German Working Lines. The traits of each of these different types of shepherds vary extensively. First determine which type of German Shepherd you are looking for. Every good Breeder is breeding for a purpose. Identify what the purpose is of your breeder. Be sure your breeder health tests their breeding dogs. Does your breeder offer a warranty? Are they willing to take the time to educate you to be sure a German Shepherd is right for you or are they just willing to sell you a dog? German Shepherds are working dogs. They need plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and consistent training to be happy healthy dogs. Ask lots of questions and choose wisely!
