This museum is housed in an historic building (historic customs building), has amazing art and well presented history. It is very worth the admission price. The history includes wall-sized maps of Key West that show snapshots in times. It is very informative. The art includes items from WPA, Colorful carved wood pictures, and the entire set of over 50 drawings winding up the staircase that were illustrations to match Hemingway's "Old Man in the Sea". Very informative place.

Spectacular Museum in Key West. Probably one of the best.

Visited about a week ago to view the museum's permanent exhibit (showcasing Florida's history) and the WPA artists exhibit. This museum was heavy on the historical material while featuring little artwork of artistic merit. The featured artist exhibit was very disappointing. Despite these shortcomings, finding this museum in Key West was a nice hidden treasure. The employees were also very kind.

They decided a giant sculpture of a nude couple dancing might encourage people to take their clothes off in Key West. We all know nudity is frowned upon here.
Bathroom :) lol no seriously great place to see history. The key west 200th exhibit is amazing. Gift shop is cool as well.
I went 4 days ago and I didnt need to pre book. Military gets in for free.
You might be referring to haint blue. Historically homes in the south painted the tops of their porches light blue to ward off spirits or bugs.
Great idea. If I had to guess, I'd say probably it's politics like much many other things today.
I can't help, but I hope someone will get back to you.
Time for a trip to Key West cause that's where you will get the answer from the chickens 👄
I visited myself too... contact the gallery
Visited today and it's gone!
No, first of all I'm not sure there's any relationship between the doll at the East martello fort museum, and the Chucky doll in the movie. But to answer your question that Robert doll is in a different museum.
