First time going to Plantbamboo. Aside being a little to expensive, I would of rated it 5 Stars but..... The older lady who attended me up front was a bit rude and disrespectful when it came down to charging me for the entrance fee. I had called the day before “Friday” and spoke to her daughter for easily 10mins or more. Her daughter over the phone was very nice and answered all my questions. She also explained the rules of the park, there operating hours, and how much it was per person. She told me Friday and Saturday it was $40 per person per day, Sunday-Thursday is $20 per person per day. Kids under 6 are free. She also advised me if it was possible to provide a picture of my daughters birth certificate since my daughter is 6. I had no problem with that. I get there Saturday morning, the older lady which is her mother was at first nice. As soon as my father and I filled out the waivers, she says it’s $100 towards my dad “my father and mother went together” I asked her hey isn’t it $40 per and before I can finish speaking she cuts me off and says it’s $50, I try again and immediately she cuts me off “it’s $50”. I looked at her, and tried again to speak and for the 3rd time cuts me off “it’s $50”. I’m not a kid nor am I her kid, apparently she wasn’t raised correctly with manners and to respect people but maybe she had a rough morning. So I let it slide. I started telling her that I had spoken to her daughter just the day before and she had said $40 per person per day for that Saturday that I was going. She didn’t care about that or honored what her own daughter told me. Also, there’s a big sign as your driving in that clearly says $40 per person Friday-Saturday & Overnite. I ended up paying it since I had made the 2hr trip already with my wife and 2 kids, and my parents. On a better note, she did apologize after the fact and gave me 3 stickers for my kids. Pros: The park is good, plenty of space to drive around and explore. Good mud holes, sand trails, and the wash down is great to hose down your ride. Cons: entrance fee is to expensive, even if it was just $40 like what I was originally told over the phone the day before and not $50 it’s a little to much. The lady up front needs to work on her manners and be respectful towards her customers. Even if that Saturday that I went was the day they decided to up the entrance fee, there’s other ways to explain it to me instead of cutting me off and not letting me speak. I’m a very well understanding and respectful person, and I think that was very uncalled for. I do wish the owner was there instead, I heard he’s a super humble and nice person. Would I recommend Plantbamboo? Yes, I would recommend Plantbamboo. I would visit this place more often if it was less expensive.

There is no electricity in the camping area and you have to bring your generator and drinking water.
