If I could give no stars then I would. We called ahead and texted approximate arrival time to Debby Dean and no one was there when we arrived. We called both numbers rang once, no answer, voicemail full and tried messaging on Facebook. Waited for 30 mins and still response. What a waste of a drive and subpar way to run a business. Do not go!! Find another quarry that takes your time, energy and drive seriously.

We had a fantastic experience at Fort drum crystal mine! Ed was super friendly and Deb was so helpful with getting everything set up for our trip. We found lots of gorgeous pieces!

As stated keep calling. The one time I was there the guy who runs the place and answers the phone helped me and my gf dig a spot for an hour. All while explaining how all this came about. Very cool dude.
There is not good phone service in Fort Drum, FL. Where Mine is, So Just Call Leave Message & He Will Get Back With You Soon As The Message Comes Through. He Has Alot Of Inventory On Site That People Dig & Purchase Or 1or The Other. He Has People That Come From All Over The World, You Won't Be Disappointed ! Looking Forward To Seeing You Soon. God Bless.
It's nothing like you'd expect but an unforgettable experience that will make you feel like you can't wait to get back and do it again.
It may be that it's off or he's without signal. When I went he was getting ready to head to Tuscon. May not be back yet, give it another try in a bit. It was well worth my wait.
The doors are open and guests are welcome to join the fun. Change is underway and sometimes hard to get done. No matter what the transition is happening. Updates for the technology and maintenance for the facility. The mine is open.

I wouldn't recommend for little kids even though no tools are required you wash the pile with a hose It can be a long time before you find something and kids get bored
I live in Las Cruces, NM and saw him today. He said he had just been in Tucson, and stopped here unexpectedly to be in the rock & gem show here this weekend. We bought some cool fossils.
I'm not sure ,possibly go to gate and maybe someone's there
I would say it's definitely a good idea to call ahead, because the owner needs to be available to open the gate and let you in.
Definitely wait for him to call you back. He is a busy man but he's good at returning calls.
60.00 per person. Call he will explain he'll make you a deal he's a really nice guy we loved the dsy we spent out there
Friendly dogs on a leash, but always call and ask first. It's ALWAYS best to call the day before going to the mine.
no. hotels near.. the nearest motel is about an hour away in a small town.
Its a joke, hes got a pile of rock and a bullcrap story, he is also a person of very questionable standards. Don't waste your time or money its definitely not worth the trip
