i just had an unfortunate experience of meeting the onwer of this place today. i have been coming here for bait for years, staff used to be great, the person that helped me smelled like alcohol, i’ve asked for 3 dozen of shrimp 1 larges at about $9.00 dollars and the reef assorted for about $5.00 well i thought i was given 10 shrimp of the large ones instead of ten, i was not necessarily right so i asked him to recount, the guys said i’m not in the mood for this so here are 2 more, owner walked in and said we don’t do that, through them back!!! while been absolutely rude and made no eye contact, i jsi said you know what, keep them all i don’t deserve this attitude, i drove 1.5 hrs to come fishing with kids who thank God stayed in the car and didn’t have to meet this rude business owner,,; i just went across the street to merks bait who received me with a joke, i would try and not go there as a first option if i was you, sorry but i give them an F for service

one of the best shops around. they have some top of the line fishing reels and rods in store one of witch I purchased i spent about 170 on the combo and couldn't be more happy with the purchase and their bait is lively and stays alive for long periods of time. their light weight plyers are also very nice the people at the store are awesome always imformitive about fishing reports and has plenty of bait choices to pick from

Best bait shop in the area with great selection of live bait. It also offers the lowest prices among the area bait shops. A bit out of the way and not visible from the main road, but worth a visit. Do check with them about hours of operation, they tend to close early. The staff is very friendly and are usually a great source of information about what is biting and best time and locations for various species. This is hands down my go-to-place for fiddler crabs during winter sheepshead fishing trips. They also offer frozen bait for those of you that don't want to deal with live bait, however I highly recommend you use live bait instead for best results.
