Gary was a great instructor, he really was on hard on us about learning the fundamentals and giving us the tips to getting it right. He gave us the opportunity to flourish and nurture our learning skills during the lessons and helped us understand the pieces to the puzzle to apply to our riding skills. I really appreciated him for his patience. Overall great instructor and super professional.

My instructors were Ali & Val. During the riding skills EXAM we had the first rider (test taker) during the second part of the test, drive and slam on the front breaks which caused to lock the front wheel flew off his motorcycle hit the ground had to roll off and after a quick unsupervised 2 second retake at the end when no one was looking by these instructors through the grace of god he passed and was suitable to get his motorcycle license. I'm sure the fact that rider and Ali (the instructor) who have been talking about motorcycles all day helped this rider out with him being ejected off the bike being shoved under the rug. This is an act of lack of integrity, morals, unprofessionalism. To some extent disrespectful because 9 other riders witness that individual during THE EXAM be launched from his motorcycle, and he was passed and others failed for minor violation like stalling the bike. These instructors don't deserve to administer a dmv approved motorcycle test with their lack of integrity, and personal preference to their liking.

Just finished the BRC2 course, excellent experience. Thank you Val and Yoda! And for you Star Wars fans out there - the great Jedi master actually has a first name! Mind. Blown.

It depends on the package you buy. They sell anything from a single 1 on 1 instruction to the Ultimate Package which is 3 parts and gets you a waiver to skip your road test. Amazing school. I took Ultimate. I recommend.
When you schedule the basic rider course it is the e course and the class you have to make sure it is the clas with the waiver. Your road test is at the end a combination of everything that has been taught good luck.
It definitely helps if you have no knowledge of motorcycles and or limited bicycle riding experience. It will help build your confidence before your final assessment
You can take an advanced class where if you know how to ride and don't have a license they have an advanced class where you have to prove you can ride
I don't think so. You need to give them a call. The place is called motorcycle safety school. They counsel you out only when there is a high chance of putting your and others' safety at risk. And they provide all the support possible to prevent things to come to that point. They are extremely professional and they won't let you hurt yourself. Worth every penny but it's true, it would be more fair if they refunded at least some portion of the fee to those who cannot complete the course.
I recieved a discount and I have Progressive.

Unfortunately, we have no plans at present to offer the 3-wheel course at the Bronx location. It is offered at our Brooklyn location at this time.
You need a class D license first. Then you need a class M permit (you can do it after the course, the same day you ammend your class D license if you want). Sign up for the Basic Rider Course (BRC 1). It's an ecourse, plus 2 days of class and riding lessons. At the end of the second day, assuming you pass the skills test and the written test, you get a little card saying you have met the requirements of the Basic Rider Course through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) offered by the Motorcycle Safety School (MSS). This is your road test waiver. You then go back to the DMV with your Class D license, class M permit, and MSF road test waiver. You apply for a change of Class on your license and you add class M. Therefore, your license will be a Class DM.
If the permit is still valid you can visit the DMV to renew your permit for 1 additional year. If you have any other questions, feel free to give us a call at 718-599-1079.
We have different course options depending on the student skill level. Please visit www.ridemss.com or call 718-599-1079 and we can answer all your questions! Have a great day!
