There is a huge 15-meter clothespin monument in Philadelphia. This sculpture was created by sculptor Claes Oldenburg in 1976. He was inspired by everyday objects. Therefore, the sculptor glorified them in his unusual monuments. On July 18, 2022, Oldenburg died at his home in Manhattan. I can’t believe we just took a picture against the background of this famous clothespin. We just learned the history of the monument, and it turned out that its creator passed away only 3 months ago.

Just like a regular sized clothespin, a spiraled wire.

My question is doesn't the clothes pin look like 2 people hugging? I have always told people that's what it represents

Also if you look at the spring in the middle you can see a 76 that also looks like 2 people hugging
